Between Arezzo (7 km) and Casitiglion Fiorentino (10 km), this former farmhouse is located on the edge of the Chiana Valley, surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. For Tuscany specialists, inhabiting a classic ?Leopoldina? is a very special charm: The massive 18th-century farmhouse once housed large farming families who farmed the surrounding land. Today it is a wonderful place to spend your vacations: The former stable became a spacious dining room with open kitchenette and direct exit to the garden; a large bedroom with bathroom, a bathroom and a guest toilet are also located on the first floor; on the 1st floor, to which the central stone staircase leads, there is a bright living room with fireplace and another four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Above one bedroom there is a gallery with a single bed. On the fully fenced property there is a pool area with sun terrace, a seating area under the traditional mulberry tree with barbecue, pizza oven and fountain; plenty of space for exercise, volleyball. A small adjacent outbuilding is closed. The furnishings are rustic, Tuscan style. A little below the house, along the central canal of the Chiana Valley, a bike path leads from Arezzo (7 km) to Lake Trasimeno (30 km). At only 3 km there is a well-known riding stable for private lessons or communal rides; about 5 km up in the mountains you can enjoy the valley view from above while hiking and picnicking in the nature park of Lignano. The owner will be happy to organize for his guests -on request- a cooking service (Tuscan cuisine) or pizza evenings at the in-house pizza oven; wine tasting in the surrounding ?cantine? , trekking tours or city visits. Also available on site: olive oil, honey and wine from own cultivation. Siena (60 km) and Florence (80 km) are within easy reach. Short unpaved access.
