Camp in simplicity in the heart of nature. Ideal for families and/or nature lovers, the Pra de Mars campsite is located along the Loire: a unique viewpoint on the last wild river in Europe. Here, you can swim in the Loire, in the swimming pool, enjoy the two playgrounds for children, the trampoline, the ping pong, the tennis, the mini golf, the sauna or simply let yourself be lulled by the sound of the river while admiring the landscape...
Also note: on the spot bar restaurant (home cooking) and bread and pastries cooked on the spot.
In the surroundings: numerous walks or bike rides in a preserved nature off the beaten track.
Presentation
The campsite offers large pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes as well as mobile-home rentals (without opposite). A total of one hundred pitches in an enchanting environment on nearly six hectares of land. A unique view on the Gorges of the Loire. For the comfort of all, the swimming pool and the sauna are reserved for the residents of the campsite.
Services, leisure and animations
On the spot, the bar-restaurant located in an authentic Vellave farmhouse is open to all and welcomes you every day. To discover the region, all the tourist information is at your disposal.
Every morning, breads and pastries are baked and sold on the spot.in the bar, Wi fi access is free, a computer is also available. We lend and exchange books and magazines. Access to tennis and mini-golf is FREE for all campers!
Children can also have fun on the two playgrounds and on the trampoline.
Description of the region
Ten thousand miles away from mass tourism and little known by the general public, the Gorges de la Loire nevertheless possess an important geological, cultural, religious and historical heritage:
- Place of pilgrimage impossible to circumvent, Puy en velay is one of the departures of the long road leading to St Jacques de Compostelle.
- The medieval period saw the construction of many castles and fortified houses that successive wars destroyed. Today, many ruins of medieval castles can be visited as well as villages. More recent fortresses and castles also testify of the past wealth.
- Music festivals, theater and traditional celebrations punctuate the summer calendar.
