Very pleasant stay with my two children. The residence is 2.5km from the beach by bike. Plenty of cycle paths to get around freely. Very pleasant house, the weather allowed us to have barbecues every day for 3 weeks. The center of Lacanau-Océan is mostly pedestrianized. There are souvenir stores, restaurants and ice-cream parlors among others. There's also the market with its many traders. There are also bike and surfboard rentals. The U supermarket is about 15 minutes away by car; otherwise, there's a U market in the center of Lacanau-Océan. The only two downsides to our stay were to do with the house itself. The mixer taps on all the water points are difficult to adjust (the latitude for adjusting the tepid is very small and some were a bit seized up), you go from cold to boiling (literally) extremely quickly. I suggested unblocking the mixing valves and adjusting the hot water tank thermostat. Perhaps the problem will be solved for your stay in this house. The other point concerns the mezzanine bedroom (parents' bedroom), where there's a roof beam at a height of about 1.40m. You have to get down to its level. You have to bend down to its level to move around the room, otherwise you'll get a bump on your forehead or, as in my case, stitches on your nose. I suggested gluing or stapling a foam strip to the corner of the beam, to limit the penalty of forgetting to bend down to a blow to the head. Perhaps the problem will be solved for your stay in this house. Enjoy your stay!
