Contact the ownerArtisans Boulanger, Pâtissier, Chocolatier, Traiteur sur l'île d'Oléron (17 Charente Maritime) durant 33 ans, puis cinq années dans la viticulture. Après de nombreux séjour aux Antilles lors de nos deux semaines de vacances annuelles (pour la plongée, les randonnées et surtout les contacts humains), nous décidons de poser les valises sur les hauteurs de Saint Claude à Papaye.

For lovers of the outdoors and hiking, our cottage (bottom of the villa, 20 steps) is located in the commune of Saint Claude in Papaye, at an altitude of about 800 meters. It is the ideal starting point to discover the Guadeloupe National Park. Nestled between the Caribbean Sea, the Massif du Nez Cassé, the Red River, the volcano "La Soufrière" and the Caribbean Mount, bordered by fields of cives and parsley, this place inspires both rest and sports walking.
There is no need for air conditioning here, the ventilation is natural (sometimes a little too much, you have to admit). But as our friends in Papaya say, "down there" it's too hot...
So after a good day on the beach, on the boat, on a hike or on various visits, it is nice to find calm and freshness. In Papaya, cives and many other vegetables are grown mainly by hand.
During your stay, we guarantee you calm, discretion, but also all our attention. Occasionally, we offer you a table d'hôte package to help you discover Caribbean cuisine.
As much as possible, we will advise you in order to help you realize your desires.
To reach Les Pimentiers de Papaye, you will have to go up to the Clinique des Nouvelles Eaux Vives (departure of several tracks). The rue des Pimentiers is opposite and our house 800 meters further on the right. The place is very quiet, the view is superb. And when the "old lady" discovers herself and the sun descends on the envelope in its orange-yellow colour, it is really very beautiful.

Flexible arrival and departure time.
Possibility of transport from the Airport to the gîte (60 km, 1 hour to 1 hour and a half) and back (60 Euros per trip).
Local bus shuttles from the clinic every two hours except on Sundays.
