Beautiful farmhouse with private swimming pool situated in the heart of the green Tuscan countryside, in the vicinity of the ancient village of Ghizzano. Surrounded by cultivated fields and woodlands, Casale Valdera is part of a wide estate set in 260 hectares of olive groves and vineyards, which provide an excellent olive oil and high quality wines. The farmhouse renovation has been carefully carried out using traditional materials and techniques. Dating back to the 19th century, this old dwelling still retains its original character with thick walls, terracotta floors, select antiques and coordinated fabrics. Furnished with great taste, the elegant living room with cross vaults features a fireplace and a piano. The first floor houses rooms just as comfortable, including a second living room with a fireplace and four bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Outside the area, the estate and its large swimming pool make it a perfect place to relax and unwind. A stay in Casale Valdera offers also many activities: long walks or bike rides through the estate, culinary outings to the surrounding area or a visit to the nearby wineries along the wine road Strada del Vino delle Colline Pisane. Set in a strategic location, halfway between Pisa and Florence, the farmhouse is an ideal starting point for exploring the Tuscan cities full of art of Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra.
