L'Atlas is a quiet, functional apartment in the heart of Rennes, in the middle of the city's best-known pedestrian shopping street (rue le Bastard), just a 2-minute walk from Place de la Mairie. You're right in the heart of the city and all its attractions (restaurants, stores, cultural and entertainment venues, etc.), but in absolute peace and quiet. You can get around on foot, and transport links are close at hand (bus, metro station République or Saint Anne).
Located on the 1st floor (with elevator) of the Hôtel Le Gonidec de Traissan (late 18th century), with secure access, the Atlas is a small apartment featuring a beautiful living room (approx. 29m2) with high ceilings and antique beams. The apartment was converted from the former kitchen of the townhouse, and has retained its bread oven, gargantuan fireplace and original paving. In the main room, you'll find a small, fully-equipped kitchen (coffeemaker, hob, oven, microwave). There's also an office area where you can set up your computer to manage your daily business, thanks to the available wifi internet connection. Please note: the large glass roof overlooks a very small courtyard, so the room is dark. Advantage: no overlooking and privacy respected!
The sleeping area is on the mezzanine (approx. 1.90 m high), accessible via a staircase (miller's ladder). You'll sleep in a 140cm bed, with TV available. The bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom (shower, washbasin and WC). A small dressing room (low ceiling) will enable you to empty your suitcase and store your belongings.
