The Camping du Buisson is located in a magnificent park, the Domaine du Château du Buisson. It's a very quiet place, pleasant, in the middle of nature at the edge of the forest. We do not propose any animation. The heated swimming pool, the accrobranche park from June 2018 and the playground for children will delight the young and old. Our accrobranche park from May for all ages. We have the bicycle path which passes at the doors of the campsite. The wifi is present on the whole campsite. Our sanitary facilities have been redone, with a special cabin for babies.
Presentation
The Camping du Buisson is located in the park of the old castle of the Buisson, this important residence which was ravaged by a fire in 1966.
It is a particularly green and calm place : a green setting at the edge of the forest of Der. Let yourself be lulled by the singing of the birds and enjoy the walks in the large park of 8 hectares in the middle of river, pond and forest.
Services, leisure and animations
We have chosen not to organize any animation on the spot, it is a family campsite, very quiet, conducive to rest and relaxation, on the spot a small heated swimming pool, accrobranche park, children's playground, bicycle path at the doors of the campsite of Le Buisson. Amateur of strong sensations, come to discover our park accrobranche, there are two courses for the small ones starting from 3 years until 6 years from 0.50 m to 1.50 m, and four other courses starting from 7 years, two green, 1 blue and 1 red.
On the spot with the passage of the small river in the field, the small children can fish, they adore, do not forget to take their fishing rods.
The cycle track passes right in front of our campsite, so you can go to the lake in all peace while passing by the forest. You can also go to Wassy, it's the first small town next to the Domaine. In Wassy, there is everything you need: supermarkets, bakery, hairdresser, bank, doctors, dentists, the market on Thursday morning.
Around the Lac du Der there are more than 250 km of bicycle paths, it's really great, there are very nice rides to do in complete safety. The advantage is that there are never too many people, for those who like calm and nature like us it's perfect.
10 minutes away from the campsite you can practice horse riding at the stables of La Contance, we love this club, there are so many ponies and horses, it's a paradise for horse lovers. We know this club well, we have ridden there and our children used to compete there.
Many parks and gardens offer visits, notably the Jardins de mon Moulin, a garden classified as a remarkable garden, Philippe the owner has a collection of over 800 peonies. The place is extraordinary, we go there often and frankly we do not get tired of it.
From October to the end of March it is easy to observe these magnificent birds that are the cranes, so numerous are they in the region, and so many other species
Description of the region
A magnificent region, with an important heritage to visit. The richness of the natural heritage of the Der is also due to the numerous rivers and ponds that make up the Champagne _Humide_ as opposed to the chalky Champagne formerly called _pouilleuse_. These stretches of water are also part of the largest wetland in France, recognized under the Ramsar convention.
Around the lake, nature is still there!
Paradise of birds all year long, the emblematic species is the grey crane, even if 300 species of birds are referenced there.
The lake and its 4000 hectares is undoubtedly the paradise of the fishermen, exceptional trophies are regularly in the honor of the press.
This wild nature permanently attracts many photographers and the region welcomes each year the international festival of the animal photography.
The Der region, of which the village of Louvemont is a part, has an architectural particularity: the timber-framed buildings. The clay-rich soil and the large oak forests have given rise to this type of construction. There is a circuit of small timber-framed buildings that crisscross all these small villages.
Our chalets are ecological and recyclable, they will seduce you by their comfort but also functionality. A really natural atmosphere, the smell of wood is present.
