Luxurious ground floor apartment with direct access to one of the two swimming pools with the property open all year round. From the terrace you have breathtaking views of the Mediterranean, Gibraltar, Africa, promenade and Marina de la Duquesa. Services and common areas
In the common areas we have two magnificent swimming pools open all year round, one of them with natural grass and with direct access from the apartment to the other pool with oval shape and of great amplitude. There are free sun loungers for use in the pool area. 24 hour surveillance with closed circuit Tv. Concierge and maintenance staff 24 hours. Free Wifi throughout the premises. Direct access to the promenade and a few meters from the Port of La Duquesa, where there are many restaurants, shops, pharmacy, supermarket, etc.
Puerto de la Duquesa really is one of the Costa del Sol's best marinas. Although within easy reach of the airports of Malaga (60 minutes) and Gibraltar (45 minutes), La Duquesa seems like a thousand miles away from the throng of the holiday resorts. La Duquesa enjoys an advantageous location to the west of Marbella ­ sometimes called "the Other Costa del Sol". The essence in this distinction is that the area retains a vast amount of unspoiled natural scenery and authentic local character - while sharing the fantastic climate and all the excellent services and infrastructure of the rest of the Costa del Sol. This is primarily due to a limited and well-managed development. The result: an ideal balance of relaxed living with easy access to every imaginable amenity. In other words, quality of life. The beautiful port of La Duquesa offers full Marina services for boating enthusiasts as well as a myriad of attractions for those with no aspirations to take to the water. For those that a do, a number of companies offer Jet Boat, Wake Board, Boat trips and Scuba Diving. The attractive promenades surrounding the port offer a variety of restaurants, intimate bars and cafes in which to while away the days. Cafe And Bars On the east side (Muelle de Levante) a number of cafe bars face the Marina due to the afternoon sun make a very pleasand place to have a snack or a drink and watch the world go by. H2o and Dolphin Bar are such bars along with La Marine on the corner. In the main complex are a number of bars, many foreign run as the names suggest. Bar La Fuente, Cj-s family bar, Leisure Lounge, Jolly Saylor, Ryders, Cork Tree, Kinsale, Deja Vu, Hemmingways, Penguin. Restaurants The vast choice of eating options include French, Italian, Chinese, Indian, Thai and, of course, Spanish with its fresh, local fish. Here is a selection: La Traviota (Grill Bistro), Tim"s (fish and Chips), Cenachero de la Duquesa (spanish), Taj Majal (indian), Sabor Toscano, Il Capitano, Ciao, Parapiro (italian), Victoria Grill (argentinian), Kinnaree (thai), Griffins, The Pergola, Kinsale Nightlife Many of the the bars and restaurants mentioned open late in the summer months. Later music bars include Rojo47 and Bojangles disco. Tourist Market In the summer weekend evenings the port hosts a unique Crafts Market, popular with the local residents as well as visitors. Golf La Duquesa Golf and Country Club boasts an 18 hole course designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. more>. Beaches Both sides of Duquesa Marina are expansive beaches. Playa de las Gaviotas and Playa del Castillo to the west with Chiringuito Las Gaviotas open in the summer. On playa Sabillias to the east is beach bar Cubanga which is open all year. More> Parking There is generally ample parking in one of the three open free car parks or in the street at the back of the shops. In the summer underground parking in the Mykonos building will be worth the 2 euro investment. Tourist Office Manilva Town hall operate a tourist office (tel: +(phone Number Hidden)) at the entrance to the port open all year Mon to Fritoand Satto). The marina is run by a company called Marinas del Meditarraneo and the port office is inn the Torre de Control at the end of the west pier (Muelle de Poniente). Excursions A short walk to the west of Puerto de la Duquesa is the litlle fishing hamlet of Castillo de la Duquesa from which marina gets its name. The castle built in 1767 can be visited and is often used for local exhibitions. Nearby are largely unexcavated roman ruins. In the hamlet are a number of bars and retaurants. A short walk to the east is the fishing village of Sabinillas. A seafront promenade makes a pleaseant walk. Rising virtually from the beaches, in the mountains the famed white villages of Manilva, Casares, and Gaucin are all withing an hours drive. Cosmopolitan life can be found only twenty minutes away in the "jet-set" city of Marbella with its shopping experiences ranging from the El Corte Inglés and to the sprawling La Cañada centre to the infinite variety of small shops and boutiques lining the cobble-stoned streets of Old Marbella.

Getting there Duquesa is about one and a quarter hours drive from Málaga Airport on the A7coast road, 45 minutes from Gibraltar (url Hidden) one and half hours from Jerez Airport. Leave the A7 coast road at km 142 for Duquesa Bus service Duquesa is on the Estepona to La Linea (for Gibraltar) bus route. Consult bus timetables on our La Linea and Estepona bus station pages. Estepona to La Linea takes one and a half hours. Duquesa is 20mins from Estepona and one hour from La Linea. See Timetable which only gives departure and arrival times at Estepona and La Linea. Calculate intermediate times on this basis; buses to La Linea call at Duquesa 20 mins after departing Estepona. Buses to Estepona call at Duquesa 1hr and 5 mins after departing La Linea. From Estepona Bus Station you can then take a bus to Marbella, Malaga Airport, and Malaga city Bus Station and from there to other main destination on the Costa del Sol. From La Linea you can walk accross the border to Gibraltar town and Gibraltar Airport. Car Hire Hire a car is best way to get around as public transport is limited.
