Our duplex cottage St Léon, "classified 3 stars", welcomes you throughout the year with a capacity of 2 to 3 persons.
With a surface area of 35m2, it is bright and ideally located in the heart of our charming little wine town of Eguisheim.
Our apartment is composed of a living room with a flat screen television and a DVD player, a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave, freezer, coffee filter machine and Senseo type machine, raclette part).
Upstairs: A large bedroom with a double bed (140/200cm) and a single bed (90/200cm), a bathroom adjoining the bedroom with a shower and a toilet. Warm atmosphere and soft colors. No smoking apartment.
It is located on a small pedestrian square, in the shadow of the castle St-Léon is quiet with a view on the storks.
Eguisheim "elected the favorite village of the French" in 2013 is 5 km from Colmar.
A bakery and a tea room just in front of us for your fresh bread every day, a butcher's shop, a delicatessen, a grocery store, a tobacconist's store and a number of restaurants are all within a stone's throw of our rental.
Good to know, the historical center of Eguisheim is limited to cars but you will find parking at the foot of the gite in the blue zone (20 minutes during the day) to easily deposit your luggage. The free parking lots are the parking lot of the tile factory, the parking lot of the millennium and the street of Colmar. The paying parking lots are the parking lot of the town hall (recharging station) and the one of the chestnut trees 4€ per day not far from our gite (100m). A parking space reserved for the handicapped is at the foot of our property.
You will like the calm and peaceful atmosphere of our duplex with a view on the three dungeons of Eguisheim.
We provide free high chair, bathtub and baby bed on request.
Beds are ready for your arrival, towels are provided and the end of stay cleaning is included in our rate. Strict and meticulous cleaning by the owner.
Garage for bike or motorcycle available on request. No smoking apartment. No pets please.

Eguisheim, one of the most beautiful villages in France, is a place where friendship, welcome, joy of living, respect for one's roots and openness to others are cultivated. It is all this that makes this beautiful town original and its attachment to those who live there or visit it.
Its discovery is never complete since it changes with the 4 seasons, presenting a different aspect each time. Eguisheim, a magical village, wants to remain a town that we visit but also a land where we return.

Fortified town since 1257, Eguisheim is proud of its picturesque concentric streets with half-timbered houses richly decorated with flowers (City classified 4 flowers - National Grand Prix, since 1989 and gold medal at the European floral agreement contest in 2006). Sixteen courtyards, fountains, the parish church is home to a polychrome wooden sculpture called 'Vierge ouvrante'. This 13th and 14th century work is the only one of its kind in Alsace.
The low castle of Eguisheim, on the Saint-Leon square, is leaning against an octagonal enclosure characteristic of the 13th century, made of stones with bosses. Thick of more than 2 meters in places, this wall was surrounded by water ditches, dried up in 1835. The castle is only accessible within the framework of the guided tours proposed by the tourist office.
Alsace is proud of this! It has recently received a new distinction as gratifying as its landscapes are beautiful and its villages in bloom. On the France Télévisions channels, Eguisheim became the favorite village of the French in 2013.
Anyone who has ever walked through the cobbled streets of Eguisheim can testify to the charm that is present there, but it is not without surprise that Eguisheim has supplanted all the villages in the running in this friendly competition presented by the famous Stéphane Bern.
Eguisheim, a postcard village on the Alsace Wine Route
Located on the Alsace Wine Route, close to Colmar, Eguisheim is nestled on the green side of the sub-Vosgian hills. Surrounded by vineyards, the wine-producing commune is classified among the Most Beautiful Villages of France!
It is nice to stroll in the shade of its streets that spread out around its castle. Half-timbered houses, fountains, flowerbeds, everything seems to have been thought to give to the medieval city a postcard charm that can only be found here, in Alsace!
Eguisheim, Gold Medal of the European Floral Agreement
As is traditional in Alsace, Eguisheim is remarkably flowery. This has also earned it several honorary distinctions, such as the Gold Medal of the European Floral Agreement or the National Grand Prize for Flowering.
Its richness comes from a unique architectural ensemble, preserved from the ravages of history and intelligently preserved within its still intact medieval walls, but which would be nothing without the charm of a geranium hanging on a balcony, a smile on the doorstep of a typical restaurant or an inimitable Alsatian accent that will tell you about the Alsatian wines produced in Eguisheim... the favorite village of the French!
