La Villa des Hortensias is 30 minutes from the invasion beaches (Utah Beach, Omaha Beach), 40 minutes from the Caen Memorial and 50 minutes from Mont Saint Michel. The Balletoy forest is just a 5-minute drive away and a visit to Bayeux (25 minutes), with its beautiful cathedral and world-famous tapestries, is also worthwhile.
