Sites & Paysages Le Moulin****, Campsite and rentals between Toulouse and the Pyrenees on the banks of the Garonne in an estate of more than 12 hectares of fields and woods crossed by several rivers.
Presentation
In a 17th century estate of more than 12 hectares on the banks of the Garonne, you will be plunged into the heart of nature with our mini-ferm. But you will also benefit from a complete structure including aquatic space with slides, free tennis, animations. Easy access to Toulouse (cité de l'espace, canal du midi...) and to the Pyrenees via freeway.
The campsite**** is located in a cul-de-sac and away from the village, it is very peaceful.
The freeway is only 3 km away and gives quick access to both the Pyrenees and Toulouse without causing any nuisance.
The 99 pitches are mostly connected to water and electricity and measure between 90 and 200m². Generally well shaded, they are bordered by hedges.
The campsite is also equipped with a high quality sanitary block.
The labels 'Qualité Tourisme', 'Sites et Paysages de France' and 'La clef verte' attest to the quality of our services. Indeed we are recommended by many guides such as Michelin, ANWB, ADAC, ACSI, Caravan Club, FFCC, Le Routard, Le Petit Futé, etc...
Seventeen fully equipped wooden chalets are located in a small oak wood with a beautiful view of the Petites Pyrénées. If you prefer, you can also rent mobile homes, caravans or cotton lodge tents.
At the bottom of the campsite flows the Garonne river lined with its wild island where it is good to stroll your dog, to spot some of the 72 species of birds already observed in the domain or to fish for roach, pike or trout. Fishing enthusiasts will find other fishy spots nearby.
Services, leisure and entertainment
Services provided in high season: Aquatic area with 2 slides, large 180m² pool with spa area and paddling pool equipped with water games. Animations all public organized, bar, food-trucks, grocery store of breakdown service, point of access Internet with wi-fi in every site/accommodation, very pretty mini-farm, free library and ludothèque, inflatable castle, gaming room. 3 free animations every day with moreover paying services realized by professionals going on the spot: archery, canoe, massages, hikes, ceramics, donkeys, etc.
In all seasons: free tennis, 2 playgrounds for children, trampoline, volleyball, basketball, petanque court, outdoor fitness area, bicycle rental, ping-pong, arboretum, washing machines with dryer...
Description of the area
- In the village of Martres
- The very important Gallo-Roman villa known as Chiragan. Remains can be seen in the Saint-Raymond Museum in Toulouse and in the Martres Museum.
- The earthenware factory: prized even abroad and handmade according to ancient techniques by the village's earthenware craftsmen. Visit the conservatory in the heart of the village, pottery courses...
- Alan (10 km) : Summer residence of the prince-secretaries.
- St-Julien (15 km) : Reconstruction of an authentic Gallic village.
- Salies du Salat (15 km) : Casino and thermal baths.
- St Elix (15 km) : The castle of the Marquis de Montespan.
- Aurignac (15 km) : High place of Prehistory which gave its name to a period of the Palaeolithic as well as the cloister of Notre-Dame de Lorette.
- Rieux-Volvestre (20 km) : Pretty medieval village (film location) and its cathedral.
- St Lizier (35 km) : Medieval cloister near the typical market of Saint Girons.
- Montmaurin (40 km) : Restored Gallo-Roman villa, a fascinating visit.
- Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges and Valcabrère (40 km) : Abbey church with classical concerts in the evening as part of the Festival du Comminges (Bach, Beethoven etc...).
- Mas d'Azil, Gargas, Lombrives, Niaux etc... Several famous caves.
- Toulouse (60 km) : The "Pink City", impregnated with its rich Occitan past but resolutely turned towards the future (Aeronautics, advanced techniques, research, Cité de l'Espace, etc...).
- The Pyrenees : For mountain lovers, they provide quick access to Spain (80 km). At the source of the Garonne River, you can practice white water sports, hike, ride down the ski slopes on a mountain bike or walk in the nature reserves.
- Luchon (80km) : Seaside town also called "The Pearl of the Pyrenees". It is the starting point of many walks (lake d'Oô) or hikes in the mountains (many peaks over 3000m). The "eggs" in the center of the city allow a direct access to the ski resort of SuperBagnères.
- Foix (70 km) : The castle of Gaston Phœbus, the Cathar site of Montségur, Mirepoix etc...
- Lourdes (110 km) : Excursions to the Pic du Midi de Bigorre and Cirque de Gavarnie (superb panoramas).
- Andorra (150 km) : The famous free-tax shopping in high mountains.
- Gers - Tarn - Ariège : Neighboring departments where you will have to make forays to the Gascons or to Albi (Toulouse-Lautrec Museum...) and to Cordes-sur-Ciel, the gothic city.
Without forgetting the numerous gastronomic stopovers in this region of good living whose appellation of "Pays de Cocagne" is not usurped...
Chalet of 6 places in massive wood nested in terrace under a pretty wood of oaks.
1 room with a double bed and a room with a double bed + 2 single bunk beds. The sofa bed in the living room/kitchen can be transformed into a third double bed. The bathroom is small, but contains all the necessary equipment.
TV, microwave, extractor hood and barbecue included.
Area 32 m² + covered terrace 11 m².
In July and August: arrival and departure days are Wednesday or Saturday.
Days of arrival and departure are free except July and August for stays of at least one week.
