THE RESIDENCE
The tourist residence SOGNU DI RENA welcomes you to Moriani Plage, a seaside resort located on the east coast of the Isle of Beauty. Only 40km from Bastia, Moriani offers you a diversity of landscapes: mountain ranges and beaches. Numerous hiking trails are close to the residence, in the forest or along the botanical trail, you will have a wide choice!

Overall, we were disappointed by our stay in this residence. Knowing that I made contact by phone to find out the time of arrival, I was told at 4pm, after 1 hour waiting in the hall with 30°degrees I was told at 5pm that the apartment was not ready (so there was no water or toilet available). At 6pm I had to queue again, and finally at 6.30pm I got my keys (nobody had contacted me). In the meantime, it was impossible to get to the swimming pool, which was closed for hygiene reasons from Saturday to Tuesday morning (there was no notice about this). The dilapidated outdoor playground has been closed by a small chain. I asked for explanations and was told that it did not comply. We had the maintenance man come several times, because it was impossible to light the eclectic plates without tripping the circuit. We had to use a small eclectic plate on loan, except that there was no table inside to put it on. 2 bulbs were burnt out (hood and bedroom), a chair was unscrewed. There's a real lack of maintenance in this magnificent residence and it's a shame. We wasted an enormous amount of time (waiting every day at reception or in our accommodation). Our son was very disappointed by the closed swimming pool and the closed playground. The garbage cans are piling up and some of the garbage has been there for a long time (small shopping basket from the supermarket). Certain objects, such as a pallet and a ladder, are dropped off, then "hang around" without anyone having the right idea to put them away. To access the swimming pool, a wooden ramp has been installed for people with reduced mobility, with screws sticking out, dangerous for bare feet. No commercial gesture was made. The beach is not cleaned and in August, towels touch each other. The residence is close to shops (supermarket, bakery, pharmacy (approx. 1 km). Parking is free, shaded and supervised at night. The wooded grounds are lovely. You must ask for a loan of a kettle and a toaster (be careful, there aren't enough for everyone!).

The grounds are magnificent and very well maintained, as are the facades, giving the whole property a real cachet. A 5/5 for the cleanliness of the accommodation and all the spaces, congratulations to the team for their super work and their attentiveness to customers! the 6-person apartment is actually a 4-person apartment, let's be honest! The teaser photo with a sea view is misleading, and it's a real disappointment when you find yourself on the ground floor with a view of the swimming pool, and above all, infernal noise from 9.30am to 8pm (even though a swimming pool is made for fun, and we understand that, but I wouldn't have booked the apartment if I'd known). The apartment is functional without more: toilet in the bathroom, hotplates that blow out the current, air conditioning that leaks, not very comfortable bedding, empty living room (not a table nor a chair), the balcony space deserves to be fitted out with a small outside sitting area. We didn't take advantage of the swimming pool, which was so crowded from morning to night, and we didn't use the beach very much, as all the deckchairs were rented when we arrived, and the rest of the beach is small. The baker in the morning is a real plus! Plenty of information at reception about what to do in the area.

Fabulous holiday, top apartment with a breathtaking view! Wonderful pool, extra sea access!!!! Huge secure parking lot. The village of san nicolao is quite lively with a great ice cream shop and good restaurants!
