A beautiful Périgord stone house in the countryside (all shops 10km away). You'll enjoy a kitchen equipped with fridge-freezer, oven, dishwasher and microwave, opening onto the dining room with wood-burning stove and living room with 2 sofas and 2 armchairs, TV and internet access. First floor: bedroom with 1 x 160x200 bed. A shower room with walk-in shower and WC separated by a door. Upstairs, 2 bedrooms each with 1 x 160x200 bed, a bedroom with 2 x 90x190 beds and a bedroom with 1 x 90x190 bed. Bathroom with walk-in shower. Separate WC. Electric heating. Baby equipment: 1 cot, 1 high chair, 1 baby bath, 1 changing mat. Linen, sheets, electricity, wood included. Bathroom linen 5€/person/change. End-of-stay cleaning 70€. Heating 8€/day. A millstone can still be seen in the garden of this renovated former mill. A stream called "Le Caudeau" is just 50 m from the gîte.
This house is located between Périgueux, a town classified as a 'Ville d'Art et d'Histoire' (City of Art and History) 30 km away, Bergerac in the heart of the vineyards 28 km away, and Sarlat, a medieval city with an exceptional heritage 55 km away. A footpath passes right in front of the gîte, making for great walks with family or friends. Dordogne Valley (castles, villages...) and Vézère Valley (prehistoric sites, Lascaux 4 International Center of Cave Art in Montignac 50 km away, Les Eyzies de Tayac 35 km away...).
From the covered terrace, you'll enjoy a beautiful view over the 4000m2 unenclosed garden and 200m2 enclosed courtyard. Garden furniture, sun loungers, barbecue, table tennis, children's swing and slide are all available.

Former managers of a building design office, now retired. Originally from the Vergt region, we decided in 1993 to restore an old mill and barn belonging to our grandfather.
Located in a valley classified as a "natural site to be protected", it seemed obvious to us to revive old stones and a forgotten corner of Périgord.
