You are close to the North Sea, where you can laze on the beach in summer and get a breath of fresh air in winter. Pavilions, the center and the boulevard with cozy restaurants are a few minutes' walk away. You can do all the necessary shopping in the supermarket. A visit to the famous Alkmaar Cheese Market is a must. The artists' village of Bergen is 15 minutes by car, with a beautiful forest and nice boutiques.
