Located 20 km south of Les Sables d'Olonne, and just a few kilometers from the historic town of Talmont Saint Hilaire, famous for its medieval fortress, the 5* L'Océano d'Or campsite enjoys a privileged location in the heart of the small seaside resort of Jard-sur-Mer.
Just 1.5 km from the sandy beaches, you can combine the pleasures of the ocean with the close proximity of Jard-sur-Mer and all its amenities, marina, stores, local market and restaurants. A perfect solution for those who want to combine nature and resort life, with a drink on the terrace! Everything is just 2 steps away... a real convenience!
Nestled in a vast, verdant, plant-filled estate, enjoy facilities such as an aquatic area with a heated indoor pool, an outdoor pool and 3 slides, a counter-current river and even a paddling pool for the little ones, all for family fun!
In 2024, l'Océano d'Or is getting a facelift with the complete renovation of the reception area, entertainment area, bar and restaurant.
You'll find all the essentials you'd expect from a 5* campsite, including a snack bar, food stall, bread depot and launderette, not to mention a multi-sports pitch, playground, indoor play area, bowling green, accro-game structure where youngsters can play Spiderman, and even a fitness room... So you'll have plenty to keep you busy!

- Aquatic area description:
L'Océano d'Or 5* campsite boasts a beautiful 500 m² landscaped aquatic area, comprising a covered area with a heated swimming pool and a paddling pool with water games for the little ones, for splashing around and having fun in complete safety if the sun is shy.
When the sun comes out, a vast heated outdoor pool completes the picture, with its counter-current river, bubble bath and 3 slides for even more thrills!
After the effort, the comfort, it's time for absolute relaxation on the deckchairs that offer you their armrests to bask in the sun.
It's a place for everyone, where there's something for everyone!
Dates and opening hours :
- 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Indoor pool: open and heated all season long
- Slides and outdoor area: open from 01/05 to 21/09, with heated pool from 01/05 to 15/09, weather permitting.
NB: Swimming shorts are not permitted. Bathing suit or boxer shorts compulsory. Bracelets must be worn. Supervised swimming in July/August only.
And let's not forget the pleasures of the ocean, just 1.5 km from the campsite. Little builders and hole diggers, grab your shovels and buckets, sand castles and moats are waiting for you! Older children will love to take on the ocean waves, or simply put their towels down on the beach and enjoy the gentle rays of the Vendée sun!
All times and dates are approximate and subject to change. Access to the aquatic areas may be subject to restrictions, depending on weather and sanitary conditions, and any maintenance work in progress at the time of your stay.
- Entertainment:
Entertainment starts as soon as the campsite opens, during school vacations and weekends in low season. During the summer school vacations, our dynamic team of entertainers is on hand 6 days a week, so you can take full advantage of sports and fun activities for the whole family, and you'll never see the time go by.
In the mornings, teenagers and adults can enjoy a gentle muscular awakening at the pool, while afternoons promise plenty of action with sports tournaments and team games for all.
To round off the day in style, come and enjoy concerts, bingo evenings, magic shows and cabarets. Dance evenings are also organized for dance aficionados.
There's no supervised kids' club with fixed dates and times, but the youngest (5 to 12 years) are not left out during the spring and summer school vacations. There are several activities dedicated to the youngest every week: make-up workshops, painting, decoupage, ballooning, theater, treasure hunts... Schedule of activities available on site.
The essential pétanque court (boules on loan), ping-pong tables (bring your own equipment), multi-sports court for a good game of basketball or volleyball (ball on loan) or tennis court. A completely refurbished fitness room to keep you in shape and, for the more adventurous, a climbing structure with canvas - just too much fun!
For the little ones, there's a brand-new playground with a slide, and a video game and table soccer area (extra charge).

The entertainment program may be subject to certain adjustments, and activities may not be available from time to time, depending on the weather, visitor numbers and official sanitary conditions in force at the time of your stay.
- Services available on site:
From May onwards (depending on the date of completion of work), you can sip a cocktail or take a coffee break at the bar.
If you're feeling peckish, head for the snack bar, where you can nibble on a pizza or paninis and French fries (in low season, these services are open at different times, depending on the number of visitors; please ask on site). Discover the brand-new restaurant with its bright, modern decor, and enjoy its large terrace when the sun is shining. If you prefer to enjoy your accommodation, a takeaway service is available.
And don't forget the immediate proximity of the services and facilities of the small resort of Jard-sur-Mer, within walking distance of the campsite.
You can also take advantage of the food point, where you'll find all the 1st necessities, as well as bread and pastries for your hearty breakfasts.
Wifi is available throughout the site at an additional cost.
On the practical side, there's a launderette (extra charge) and ironing boards, irons and vacuum cleaners on loan (on request from reception).
For the ultimate grilling pleasure, you can rent a charcoal barbecue (use subject to prefectoral authorization; electric barbecues and planchas are prohibited).
Thanks to the region's many cycle paths, you can forget your car and go green by bike (hire available on site, at extra cost). You'll be able to enjoy beautiful walks along the coastline and its maritime pine forests... all the charm of this unspoilt natural environment!

I don't recommend this campsite to people without a car, it's difficult to get a cab on the spot. The beach is really only 20 minutes away by foot (there are all the restaurants near the beach). Be careful with the cockroaches we found 1. (fear then to bring some at home) It's a pity that the alleys are not illuminated (at night).
