Nestled in the hills of Haut Razès, Laures, this farmhouse is located 1.5 km above the village of Escueillens, in the Aude department, at the center of a triangle between Limoux, Castelnaudary and Mirepoix, and will bring you a moment of serenity, well-being, change of scenery and freshness.
It offers accommodation for 10 people.

This bright space features 2 south-facing windows overlooking the garden and pond, as well as a French window. In summer, the stone house keeps the rooms cool.
On the north side, a window opening onto the surrounding countryside and a French window opening onto a terrace and courtyard, where it's very pleasant to relax and read in the heat...

Outside, the garden overlooks the countryside and hills, and an ancient pond with numerous fish and aquatic plants attracts dragonflies, butterflies and swallows.

- On the property you'll find plenty of comfortable places to relax: tables and benches, barbecue, swings...
- The house and garden are sheltered from the prevailing winds, the cers and the marin. They'll be rare on days when you can't eat outside.
- A wooded park equipped with a bowling green, a portico and a trampoline allows children to relax, and parents to read on the benches set out in the shade of the trees, a large meadow for great games of soccer, badminton...
- Sports enthusiasts will enjoy the trails, discovering the wild flora and fauna, the undulating landscape, and the little-traveled roads for beautiful hikes (GR7), mountain biking or mountain bike rides.
- all around the house, you and your children can enjoy late afternoon, morning or evening walks on the seldom-used surrounding roads up to the watershed, 600 m from the gîte, or on the footpaths.

From June and July onwards, come and enjoy the long days from the beach on deckchairs, admiring the changing colors of the surrounding hills as night falls, the first stars light up in the sky, the ballet of the swallows, the music of all the birds, the deer, the scents of hay and crops....
At the end of summer, September and October offer visitors a whole new world of nature. The light is brighter because the heat is less intense. You see the hills and foothills of the Pyrenees closer up, nature softer, with orange hues, the sky pinker in the early evening, and fading into increasingly intense blues until nightfall. The animals come out earlier, taking advantage of the mild temperatures, and the serenity settles in, making you want to sleep outside, so pleasant are the temperatures, and so little wind at this time of year.
Just 2 steps from the house is the watershed (on the Laure side, water flows towards the Mediterranean, on the opposite side, water flows towards the Atlantic Ocean).
Quiet location in a small village 40 min from Carcassonne. Personal vehicle recommended.

The nearest shops are in Belvèze du Razès, 7 kms away: bakery, grocery store, tobacconist, newsagent, chemist, doctor, dentist, physiotherapist.
