Already listed in the "Leopoldino" land register at the beginning of the 19th century, the residence belonging to the noble family of the current owner was originally the hunting lodge of his great-grandfather. The surrounding landscape is typical of the Tuscan imagination, with gentle hills rolling with the sway of wheat ears, groves sheltering deer that can be seen feeding at dusk in the clearings, vineyards and olive groves. Restored, the property has become a pleasant vacation home for one or two families or a group of friends. Excursion possibilities abound: the eternal city of Pisa and its Leaning Tower, the Etruscan city of Volterra, San Gimignano and its famous towers, Lucca and its famous ramparts, the most imposing in medieval Europe, and so many other small historic towns scattered throughout this corner of Tuscany. Those who prefer absolute relaxation can relax by the pool (12x6m)(15/04-15/10) and enjoy a swim, or read a good book while sipping a glass of wine and admiring the panorama. The estate's wine is truly excellent; the historic cellar is well worth a visit, and a tasting is a must to appreciate its merits! As for the olive oil, it's a veritable nectar here, and at the forefront of organic production. A visit to the marvellous 15th-century Jardin à l'Italienne is also a must. The meticulous furnishings are made from antiques, adding a special charm to the interior. Air conditioning only in rooms on the second floor. On request and payable locally: home cooking, preparation of breakfast or brunch, domestic help, baby-sitter, guided tours with tasting of wines and oils produced on the property, massages and beauty treatments, personal shopper, yoga classes, guide for local excursions, biplane and hang-glider flights, e-bike, golf.
