Villa La Commenda is set in the hills to the east of Arezzo, not far from the characteristic medieval village of Anghiari. The surrounding woods are rich in wildlife, with roe deer, pheasants and hares often to be seen. The green, wooded countryside is interspersed with cultivated fields and broom bushes which, in late spring, turn the countryside yellow, perfuming the air with their intense fragrance. The property was originally a monastery for Camaldolese monks. Later a farm, it has now been restored and transformed into a splendid vacation villa comprising 4 buildings: the villa and 3 outbuildings, one of which is inhabited by the owner. It's surrounded by vast, flower-filled gardens where you can relax in the cool of the sun, take a stroll in the peaceful atmosphere, gather around a table for a pleasant breakfast outside, play a game of table tennis or relax in a hammock. The pool (12x6m; 1.50m deep) (11/05-15/09) is located in the upper part of the villa and is well-lit and equipped with sun loungers, parasols and an external shower. Comfortable Tuscan-style furnishings. The property is equipped with central heating, air conditioning in some rooms and fans in others. Included in the price: welcome basket (jam, tea, rusks, pastries, fruit juice, oil, salt and butter), Wi-fi Internet, highchair and cot, cotton and lace household linen, courtesy set in all bathrooms. On request and payable on site: extra cleaning hours, swimming pool towels, dinners and lunches, cookery courses, minibus transfers and hire, bike hire, forest picnics, wine tasting, fishing (equipment not supplied), Italian lessons, guided picking in the woods. Parking on the property.
PLEASE NOTE: For stays of two weeks, a cleaning service is compulsory after the first week, at a cost of 500 EUR.

External laundry (washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board). 1st Et. (also accessible from outside): 1 suite with double bed, double sofa bed (sofa width 1.70m, TV, air conditioning, mosquito net), bathroom (shower) and access to terrace, 1 double bedroom (TV, air conditioning, mosquito net) with bathroom (shower) and access to terrace, 1 double bedroom (TV, fan, mosquito net) with bathroom (bath and shower). 2nd Et. (access by characteristic wooden staircase): living room with fireplace and sofa (width 1.70m, TV, air conditioning, mosquito net), 1 double bedroom with French bed (width 1.50m) and bathroom (shower). All bathrooms have hairdryers.
