Property for exclusive use
Antique 18th-century country house (500 m2) in a dominant position on a Chianti hillside, between vineyards and olive groves above the ancient village of Staggia Senese. The villa has recently undergone a careful restructuring and restoration operation, which has kept the original structure intact, making it the ideal place to enjoy a pleasant, exclusive vacation in Tuscany. The villa's geographical position means that important Tuscan cities of art such as Siena, Florence and San Gimignano can be reached in half an hour by car, and cultural, historical, artistic and oeno-gastronomic itineraries can be undertaken in the many typical localities. The centrality of the villa also represents a unique opportunity to discover the Chianti region, with its medieval citadels such as Castellina, Gaiole, Radda and Greve. The villa features large internal spaces typical of the noble villas of yesteryear. Behind the villa, a vast space houses a gazebo with portable barbecue suitable for al fresco dining. To the sides of the villa are a refined terrace with lemon trees and a romantic ensemble of cedars and holm oaks. In a secluded spot at the rear of the house, immersed among cypress and olive trees, is the exclusive-use swimming pool (10x5 prof. 1.20-1.40) (01/05-30/10 open from 09:00 to 19:00) with external shower, surrounded by a wide meadow. Air conditioning in first-floor bedrooms. Included in the price: 4 hours/week of domestic help to tidy bedrooms, bathrooms, dining room and kitchen (only for weekly rentals), Wi Fi internet connection, cot. To be requested at time of booking and paid for on site: possibility of cook, cooking lessons, baby sitter, additional hours of domestic help. The last part of the road is unpaved. Parking on the property. PLEASE NOTE: On the second floor of the villa is an apartment with independent access, where the janitor lives. He will be at guests' disposal for any eventuality, with absolute discretion. There is no television available in the villa.
ACCOMMODATION: Ground floor: large, bright living room (120 m2) with elegant vaulted ceiling, green marble fireplace and access to the limoniers' terrace, dining room, kitchen (oven, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, espresso and American coffee machine) with access to the outside, 1 double bedroom (suitable for disabled guests) with bathroom with shower 1°St.(accessed via an antique stone staircase): small living room with access to the balcony, from which there is a magnificent view of the town of Monteriggioni; from the small living room there are 3 double bedrooms: 1 bedroom (170 cm bed) with bathroom with shower and bathtub, 1 bedroom (170 cm bed) with bathroom with shower, 1 bedroom (160 cm bed) with bathroom with shower; a wide corridor leads to 2 twin bedrooms (85 cm beds) sharing 1 bathroom with shower, 1 double bedroom (160 cm bed) con bathroom with shower.
DISTANCES: small town of Staggia 2 km (grocery stores, restaurants, horse riding school), Monteriggioni 6 km, Poggibonsi 7 km (all kinds of stores), Siena 19 km, San Gimignano 22 km, Volterra 37 km, Florence 55 km, Lucca 92 km.
