This 19th-century villa is set in the countryside south of Florence, in a wooded landscape rich in pine forests. It is part of a large estate where horses were bred, which was later transformed into a tourist resort. The villa retains all the charm of a time when notables would visit the countryside to check on the work in the fields. The villa's location makes it easy to explore the surrounding area, with the town of Lucca on one side and the hills on the other, home to villages such as Certaldo, Boccaccio's birthplace, San Gimignano with its towers and Montaione. Even the beaches are not far away, as are the city of Pisa and the thermal baths of Montecatini. The size of the structure means that groups of friends can enjoy a vacation alternating between cultural visits and relaxing on the large lawn in front of the villa, while cooling off in the swimming pool (12x6m; depth 1.50m)(01/05-30/09). Next to the pool is a changing room with WC and a portable garden barbecue. The villa is equipped with central heating, air-conditioning in some rooms, cot and WiFi Internet access.
