Interiors
Apartment located on the second floor with elevator of a splendid historic palace in Via Maggio, one of the most prestigious and noble palaces in Florence's historic center. The aristocratic palace was built around 1470 and features a majestic inner courtyard, with three porticoed sides adorned with statues. The apartment, in the day area, comprises a majestic living room with tapestry, a second living room entirely decorated with frescoes and a bar area, a large dining room with table for 6, a well-equipped kitchen and a wardrobe/ironing room. Guests can enjoy the comfort of 1 master bedroom, fully frescoed with double bed and en suite bathroom with whirlpool bath, 2 spacious 2-bed rooms, one with 2 bathrooms, one with bathtub and the other with shower; the other room has an en suite bathroom with bathtub. One of the 2 bedrooms with 2 beds is on a mezzanine overlooking a passageway.
Guests will find all the amenities they need, accompanied by stunning furnishings characterized by antique furniture, valuable fabrics and objets d'art.
The apartment is equipped with air conditioning in every room (mobile unit in the master bedroom), TV in the bedrooms, satellite TV in the master bedroom and Wi-Fi Internet service.
Location
Located in the historic Oltrarno district. "Oltrarno" means "beyond the Arno" and this area stretches along the south bank of the river. Oltrarno represents the true essence of Florence: an area that's quiet, green and therefore more relaxing than the others. That's why more and more tourists are coming to enjoy it. This area is also known as the crafts district, famous for its delightful boutiques, small shops and craftsmen's laboratories (especially antique and leather goods dealers): Via Maggio represents the Florentine center of antiques. In past centuries, Oltrarno was a chic district where many aristocrats built their own palaces and villas. One of the greatest is undoubtedly Palazzo Pitti, once home to the Grand Dukes of Tuscany. Today, Palazzo Pitti hosts many of the city's most important exhibitions and museums. Other major attractions on the Oltrarno include the Brancacci Chapel with its magnificent frescoes by Masaccio, Masolino and Filippino Lippi, the Michelangelo Belvedere with its breathtaking panorama of Florence, the magnificent church of San Miniato (one of the highest points in the city and the best example of Romanesque art in Tuscany) and the Ponte Vecchio, home to numerous jewellers and goldsmiths. Inside Palazzo Pitti is the marvelous Boboli Garden, an open-air museum of sculptures, some dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries.

On request and to be paid on the spot, possibility of organizing dinners and additional household help.
Important information
A concierge service is available Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Pets are not allowed. Non-smoking accommodation. The apartment is for adults only. Arrival time is between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm (after 8:00 pm a supplement of 50 Euros will be charged). Late arrivals must be agreed in advance. According to the new ministerial decree on energy saving, the heating temperature must not exceed 19 degrees. Covered public parking lot at extra charge. The security deposit must be paid at least 2 days before arrival by credit card; it will be returned at the latest 2 days after check-out and always by credit card.
