Interiors
It's located on the second floor of a splendid historic palazzo in Via Maggio, one of the most prestigious and noble palaces in Florence's historic center. The aristocratic palace was built around 1470 and features a majestic internal courtyard, with three porticoed sides, adorned with statues. The apartment comprises a small living room with access to a small balcony, well-equipped cooking area with breakfast zone, matrimonial bed (mattress with overlay) and bathroom with bathtub.
Guests will find all the amenities they need, accompanied by stunning furnishings featuring antique furniture, valuable fabrics and objets d'art. The apartment is equipped with air conditioning, satellite TV and Wi-Fi Internet service.
Location
The apartment is located in the historic Oltrarno district. "Oltrarno" means "beyond the Arno" and this area extends along the south bank of the river. Oltrarno represents the true essence of Florence: an area that's quiet, green and therefore more relaxing than the others. That's why more and more tourists are coming to enjoy it. This area is also known as the crafts district, famous for its delightful boutiques, small shops and craftsmen's laboratories (especially antique and leather goods dealers): Via Maggio represents the Florentine center for antiques. In past centuries, Oltrarno was a chic district where many aristocrats built their own palaces and villas. One of the greatest is undoubtedly Palazzo Pitti, once home to the Grand Dukes of Tuscany. Today, Palazzo Pitti hosts many of the city's most important exhibitions and museums. Other major attractions on the Oltrarno include the Brancacci Chapel with its magnificent frescoes by Masaccio, Masolino and Filippino Lippi, the Michelangelo Belvedere with its breathtaking panorama of Florence, the magnificent church of San Miniato (one of the highest points in the city and the best example of Romanesque art in Tuscany) and the Ponte Vecchio, home to numerous jewellers and goldsmiths. Inside Palazzo Pitti is the wonderful Boboli Garden, an open-air museum of sculptures, some dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries.

Important information
A concierge service is available Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Pets are not allowed. Non-smoking accommodation. The apartment is for adults only. Arrival time is between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm (after 8:00 pm a supplement of 50 Euros will be charged). Late arrivals must be agreed in advance. According to the new ministerial decree on energy saving, the heating temperature must not exceed 19 degrees. Covered public parking lot at a charge.
