Third and top floor of a splendid historic palazzo on Via Maggio, one of the most prestigious noble palaces in Florence's historic center. This aristocratic palace was built around 1470 and features a majestic inner courtyard, with three side-porticoes, adorned with statues.
This is an authentic loft in a prestigious old tower. It comprises a living area with kitchenette, a matrimonial bed and a bathroom with shower. The view from the large windows is unique, with 180-degree panoramic views over the city's historic center, Florence's rooftops and all the city's most prestigious monuments.

Location
The apartment is located in the historic Oltrarno district. "Oltrarno" means "beyond the Arno" and this area stretches along the south bank of the river. Oltrarno represents the true essence of Florence: an area that's quiet, green and therefore more relaxing than the others. That's why more and more tourists are coming to enjoy it. This area is also known as the crafts district, famous for its delightful boutiques, small shops and craftsmen's laboratories (especially antique and leather goods dealers): Via Maggio represents the Florentine center of antiques. In past centuries, Oltrarno was a chic district where many aristocrats built their own palaces and villas. One of the greatest is undoubtedly Palazzo Pitti, once home to the Grand Dukes of Tuscany. Today, Palazzo Pitti hosts many of the city's most important exhibitions and museums. Other major attractions on the Oltrarno include the Brancacci Chapel with its magnificent frescoes by Masaccio, Masolino and Filippino Lippi, the Michelangelo Belvedere with its breathtaking panorama of Florence, the magnificent church of San Miniato (one of the highest points in the city and the best example of Romanesque art in Tuscany) and the Ponte Vecchio, home to numerous jewellers and goldsmiths. Inside Palazzo Pitti is the wonderful Boboli Garden, an open-air museum of sculptures, some dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries.

Important information
A concierge service is available Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Pets are not allowed. Non-smoking accommodation. The apartment is for adults only. Arrival time is between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm (after 8:00 pm a supplement of 50 Euros will be charged). Late arrivals must be agreed in advance. According to the new ministerial decree on energy saving, the heating temperature must not exceed 19 degrees. Covered public parking lot. Elevator to 1st floor, then goods elevator to 2nd floor and staircase to 3rd floor.
