Nestled at the confluence of the Loire and Erdre rivers, Nantes is a surprising city in the Loire-Atlantique department, elegantly oscillating between past and present.The 15th-century Château des Ducs de Bretagne stands in the heart of the old town, earning Nantes the nickname "City of the Dukes".
