➽ THE NEIGHBORHOOD
You will stay in the heart of the Ecusson, the historic center of Montpellier, in the Rue de l'Argenterie.
Numerous small shopping streets full of life. These mazes of pedestrian streets are ideal to discover the old Montpellier, take your time and drink a coffee at the terrace of one of the many restaurants.
The Ecusson is also a cultural area with the historical Opera on the Place de la Comédie founded in 1755. To the north of the Ecusson are the Palais des Congrès, the Beaux Arts district and the Berlioz Opera (le Corum). The Fabre Museum near the Charles-de-Gaulle esplanade is also a must for art lovers.
The main squares to visit are located within a 2 minute walk: Place de la Comédie, Place de la Canourgue, Place du Marché aux fleurs, Place Jean Jaurès, Place Saint-Anne, Place Saint-Côme, Place de la Babote.
Montpellier has many medieval alleys, symbols of its proud past. The rue de l'Argenterie will take you back to an ancient time, for a guaranteed impression of elsewhere...
