Presentation
Located in the heart of the Lot Valley, 10 mins from Cahors, and close to the Causses du Quercy regional nature park, Quercy Vacances adapts to your needs with its mobile homes, chalets, cabins on stilts, canvas bengalis and pitches for campervans, caravans and tents. Swimming pool and spa, snack bar and restaurant, musical and sporting events, as well as medieval, prehistoric, Jurassic and geological sites, and a multitude of hiking, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, trail and rock-climbing routes will delight all types of holidaymakers!
Services, leisure activities and entertainment
In high season, the campsite livens up your week with sporting and festive events. Take part in archery, a guided hike, a pétanque tournament or feed the animals on the mini-farm. As for your evenings, they're already booked! On Sundays, we offer you a welcome drink; on Mondays, it's a pétanque and barbecue evening; on Tuesdays, it's karaoke and moules frites; on Thursdays, a concert with the chef's homemade paëlla; and on Fridays, it's a farewell drink.
Description of the region
Between regional culture, historic sites, the river and lush green forests, a change of scenery is guaranteed! The campsite, perched high above the Lot valley, through which the river of the same name flows, is set in a natural environment of forests, vineyards and local producers' farms, typical of the region. You'll find the medieval city of Cahors just 10 minutes away, with its old town center, Valentré bridge and castles. The curious will also be delighted to discover natural caves and geological chasms, notably the Gouffre de Padirac, and troglodyte dwelling sites such as the Saint-Cirq-Lapopie rock. The Lot region is also marked by its prehistoric past, with Jurassic sites such as "La plage aux ptérosaures" and parietal caves such as Grotte du Pech Merle. Sports enthusiasts won't be disappointed either! Hiking, canoeing and kayaking, mountain biking and cycling, trail running and climbing... the campsite offers a multitude of itineraries for beginners or experienced sportsmen and women!
Our Safari Lodge offers you a vacation in harmony with nature! Comprising a living room with storage space, a terrace with garden furniture, a kitchenette and two bedrooms (one with a double bed and the other with a double bed and a single bunk bed), its 20m² in total can accommodate up to 5 people. To prolong the experience as close as possible to nature, private ecological toilets are available on site (sawdust dry toilets). The communal sanitary facilities are around 150m from the tents, where you'll find everything you need (water-connected toilets, laundry facilities, showers, washbasins, washing-up basins, etc.). It's an opportunity to enjoy camping with the comfort of real bedding and a kitchenette. All this makes the Lodge Safari the ideal accommodation for families in search of adventure!
