- Description of the Aquatic Area:
There's a lovely little 300 m² open-air swimming pool with two pools of varying depths to suit all tastes: swimming a few lengths or simply cooling off on a hot summer's day.
After the pool session, the solarium area awaits you with deckchairs in the shade of paillote parasols. Meanwhile, our youngest guests can enjoy themselves in complete safety in the aqualudic play area, with its slide and water games.
Dates and opening times of the outdoor pool :
- 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Open from 15/06 to 15/09, subject to good weather conditions, as it is heated solely by the sun's rays.
NB: Only short swimsuits, bikinis, 1-piece swimsuits and short-sleeved lycra UV-resistant T-shirts may be worn. Clothing restrictions in the pool except Lycra. Lifeguard on duty from 08/07 to 25/08.
And don't forget that the campsite offers direct access to Lac de Saint-Brice via a small footpath surrounded by pines and oaks for those who want to enjoy the Arcachon Basin. The ocean is also close at hand, with the Grand Crohot beach just a few kilometers away, offering a host of water sports activities and sand castles for the whole family!
All times are approximate and subject to change. Access to the aquatic areas may be subject to restrictions, depending on weather and sanitary conditions, and any maintenance work in progress at the time of your stay.
- Entertainment:
The campsite is quiet during the low season.
During the summer vacations, from 08/07 to 30/08, the pace quickens with the presence of a dynamic entertainment team offering activities for all ages and tastes.
Sports enthusiasts will enjoy regularly scheduled tournaments: archery, pétanque, volleyball or soccer. Aquafun and fitness activities will also get your muscles moving!
In the evenings, there's a night market once a week (July/August only), dance evenings, theme evenings, karaoke evenings, dinner shows, bingo evenings and movie nights. At the height of summer (July/August only), 2 night-time pool parties are organized each week.
Children's Club (5 to 12 years): Open from 08/07 to 30/08, 5 days/7: A wide range of games and manual activities in an eco-responsible spirit to raise children's awareness from an early age, such as discovering fauna and flora, or artistic creation workshops using wood and recycled products... Children will enjoy sporting activities and preparing shows for guaranteed vacation memories! For the little ones, child/parent activities are planned for the afternoon, including face painting and a treasure hunt.
Club Ados (ages 13 to 17): Open only in summer, from 08/07 to 30/08. Juniors can make new friends during one of the organized evenings, a swimming pool activity or a sports tournament!
There's something for everyone: a boulodrome in the shade of the pines for lively pétanque matches with friends, a multi-sports field for ball fans, table tennis tables (equipment available on loan) and outdoor fitness equipment. Children are also catered for, with a bouncy castle, a playground and the possibility of pony rides when the weather's fine (extra charge).
The campsite is the ideal starting point for exploring the region, with footpaths and cycle paths nearby.
And let's not forget the many summer events in and around Arès: evening shows, night markets, fireworks displays, sports tournaments...the reception staff will be happy to give you more information about these events.

- Services available on site:
In case of small or large hunger, the brasserie "La Paillotte du G" will propose to you in July/August, every day, midday and evening (08h-15h and 18h-minuit), a restoration to be carried or consumed on the spot, refreshments. And let's not forget the inevitable ice cream snack for the young ones!
In the off-season, a range of catering options will be available depending on the number of visitors, with opening times posted on site.
In July and August, there will be plenty of entertainment on offer.
A pizzeria is also available in July and August only (opening times displayed on site).
Open only in July and July/August, and on certain dates during the off-season, depending on the number of visitors, a grocery corner offers fresh bread and pastries every morning, as well as basic necessities to tide you over. In low season, bread and pastries can be ordered (by reservation the day before for the following day, arrangements to be made on site).
From 08/07 to 31/08, you can discover gourmet products from local producers at the night market held every Monday.
New for 2024, a wellness area welcomes you to the campsite, offering a private room with Jacuzzi access for 4 people, and the services of professional hairdressers and beauticians (on reservation, at extra charge).
Also at your disposal: laundry with washing machine and dryer, and communal barbecue areas (charcoal required, use subject to prefectoral authorization).
To stay connected even on vacation, free wifi access is available throughout the campsite.
To make the most of the nearby cycle paths, the campsite offers rental of bicycles, mountain bikes, electric bikes, children's bikes, trailers and baby seats (prices to be consulted on site, subject to availability). The "G Bike" store will be delighted to help you! The towns of Arès and Andernos are just a few pedal strokes away.

Beware of the many steep switchbacks at the campsite, some of which are at an angle and not signposted. In cold weather, bring an auxiliary heater, as the one in the mobile home is insufficient to heat it when night-time temperatures drop below 16°C. Knowing that pipes, hoses and drains (under sinks and toilets) are not sealed and let air and bugs (mosquitoes, spiders, etc...) through.

We enjoyed our 3-day weekend at Camping les Goélands! Great welcome, friendly staff. Top-quality mobile home! Very well equipped, we lacked nothing. On the other hand, we had a hard time finding our mobile home on the 1st evening, despite the map provided (late arrival time, little lighting in the campsite and not very clear signage, a real labyrinth). And another little problem was the WiFi, which didn't work very well. Otherwise, everything was perfect and we'll definitely be back.

Very good, but we're reluctant to come back because of the mosquitoes. It's a pity, but what can you do but stock up on mosquito repellent unless the campsite takes care of it, especially citronella candles to enjoy the terrace.
