1h45 from Clermont-Ferrand, 1h30 from Lyon and 45 min from Saint-Étienne, in the Ponote region, lies Aiguilhe. Known for its famous Rocher Saint-Michel d'Aiguilhe, a UNESCO World Heritage site, Éveline and her husband's gîte is located on the hillsides above the town.
Entirely renovated by themselves, this gîte is comfortable and functional. Its main asset is undoubtedly its pretty landscaped garden, a real corner of tranquillity not far from the city.
Le Puy-en-Velay is an ideal base from which to explore its many UNESCO World Heritage monuments: the monumental statue of Notre-Dame de France, the Notre-Dame-du-Puy Cathedral and its cloister, the Crozatier Museum in the Jardin Henri Vinay, etc., as well as its many events: the Roi de l'Oiseau festival, the Puy de Lumières (projection of light shows on the city's monuments), the Chapelle Numérique and many more!
Nearby: the first stage of the famous Chemin de Saint Jacques de Compostelle, the Via Fluvia greenway, the Polignac Fortress and the Bois des Seigneurs, the Pinatelle du Zouave, the Cascade de la Beaume, etc...
A little further afield: Lac du Bouchet, the wild Loire and Allier gorges, the Meygal volcanoes and the Mezenc plateau.

Optional: the owners offer you the possibility of using their spa/sauna area, which they will privatize for you from 6.30pm. (exact times to be defined with the owner), paying option €20/person, limited to 1H30 per day. When you arrive in the gîte, you'll discover the living room with its modern, fully-equipped kitchen, dining area and TV/lounge.
Upstairs is the spacious double bedroom, with a 140x190cm bed.
On the mezzanine, you'll find a reading/relaxation area. A magnificent wooden enfilade leads to the two single beds (90x190cm), hidden by a screen.
The exterior of the gîte has been fully landscaped and laid out by the owners, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a good meal.
Baby equipment: cot, high chair and unbreakable crockery suitable for babies.
All-inclusive rates include: bed linen and towels for the stay, cleaning at the end of the stay (however, the gite must be tidy, the garbage cans and dishwasher emptied, the bed linen grouped together in the same place, and the sanitary facilities must be in an acceptable state of cleanliness), heating and electricity within the limits of reasonable consumption (16Kwh/day) - any excess will be paid to the owners on site.
