Between Royan and Rochefort, facing the Ile d'Oléron, La Tremblade invites you to an exceptional site for an exotic holiday. At the edge of the ocean, on the wild coast or in the forest, you will multiply your activities and your moments of happiness.
With its 25 kilometres of beaches, La Tremblade offers a variety of enchanting places to enjoy the joys of the ocean. Feel like idleness or a tanning session ? Want to move and slide on the waves ? You will necessarily find the small corner of fine sand that suits your desires of the moment. The Galon d'Or beach, for example, is ideal for families and offers a panoramic view of the island of Oléron. If you want to surf, kiteboard or bodyboard, go to one of the beaches on the wild coast. But you will also be able to join, in the grounds, the water of the nautical base to initiate you with sailing, windsurfing or canoe-kayak.
Then discover the charms of the resort. Take a stroll around the old harbour, the historic district of La Tremblade. With its small low houses, its narrow and winding streets, it will delight you by its picturesque character. Then go to La Grève, on the banks of the Seudre estuary, to see the oyster farms and the oyster farmers' colourful huts. Among the must-see monuments, visit the church of the Sacré-Cœur, built at the end of the 19th century in a neo-Gothic style, then, in the seaside district of Ronce-les-Bains, the Saint-Joseph chapel and the lighthouse of the Coubre which offers a wonderful view on the wild coast.
You can also walk or cycle along the paths that criss-cross the resort. They will allow you to discover the beautiful forest of La Coubre, a huge forest massif planted mainly with maritime pines and holm oaks, but also the surrounding resorts. By taking the GR4, you can reach La Palmyre and Royan to the south and, to the north, Marennes. You can also take a small cruise at sea, from the port of La Tremblade, to admire Fort Boyard, the island of Aix and the island of Oléron up close. During your excursions, also take the time to taste the regional products : Marennes-Oléron oysters, fish soup, mussel burst, donuts, pineau des Charentes...

A good meal: go to the Port de La Grève, located in La Tremblade, to be as close as possible to the oyster farmers who will make you taste their oysters and local specialities (mussel splits...).

Go for a walk on the pedestrian road that leads to Pontaillac (Royan beach) and take an ice cream "Chez Lopez" behind the Barrière casino, multiple flavours to choose from...c you won't be disappointed!
