Welcome to Porto-Vecchio, in a superb environment where the sea and the mountains meet. Gourmets will not be left out since Corsica's gastronomy offers a wide choice of local dishes. You can't spend your vacations in Porto-Vecchio without tasting the brocciu, this fresh local cheese made from sheep's milk is invited to every table. The same goes for all the emblematic charcuterie of the region: from figatellu to coppa, the subtle and fragrant tastes of these local dishes will conquer the palates of young and old gourmets.
When the sun is at its zenith, take a break at Place de la République: the central point of the citadel, it is the ideal place to have a drink or a coffee in the shade of the Saint-Jean-Baptiste church. The square is full of ice cream shops, restaurants and boutiques that are sometimes open until midnight in season.
For some years now, Porto-Vecchio has also been the capital of the party scene: trendy restaurants and wine bars rub shoulders with the city's discotheques where numerous DJs perform.
As for the beach, don't leave without having put down your parasol in the bay of Santa Giulia: in the south of the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio, explore this magnificent lagoon at the foot of the mountain. Its turquoise, crystalline and shallow water makes it a paradise for children who play along its kilometers of white sand beaches. Water sports enthusiasts, get your sails, fins and snorkels! The bay of Santa Giulia is one of the most dynamic nautical bases in the region. You can go water skiing, fly boarding, scuba diving, or even boating.
The beach of Palombaggia, lined with maritime pines, is one of the most beautiful beaches you will ever see: its turquoise water and its paradisiacal landscape call for moments of calm and relaxation, making Porto-Vecchio the ideal destination for your vacation.

Make a day catamaran trip with Stef from the catamaran "Pourkoipa": dive near a wreck and stop near a cove for paddle and snorkeling activities then barbecue on the boat! Then, we set sail towards a small beach! A crazy atmosphere!

The town itself, the natural pools of Vacu, the beaches of Pinarellu (with children it's very nice). We strongly advise against going by boat to see the sea bed. We only see a few fish, always the same ones. Very boring and expensive.

If you are a fan of Saint Trop: it's good, it will suit you; if you like natural things don't go there. To see pleasant sites, get out of Porto Vecchio and there you will not be disappointed.
