15 kilometers from Lannion and 60 kilometers from Morlaix, Penvénan is located along the English Channel, on the Breton coast. Not far from Perros-Guirec and Tréguier, the town is located in the heart of one of the most beautiful bays in the region, a bay which is one of the major assets of Penvénan. Its territory consists of a town, a port called Port Blanc, and a seaside resort called Bugélès, attractive and dynamic. Facing its coastline lined with clear water, the seabed of extraordinary beauty and a myriad of islets complete the setting of this amazing destination. A paradise for yachting, Penvénan and its hamlets are well sheltered from the wind, offering sailors calm waters to explore by boat, sail, paddle or kayak, for a fun and sporting discovery of the coast. Ah, the coast, how beautiful it is! Typical of this pretty area that is the Côtes-d'Armor, Penvénan reveals to its visitors a preserved coastline, and marked out with numerous sites to discover, which tell its ancient history. On the side of Port-Blanc, it is the emblematic Notre-Dame chapel that catches the visitor's attention. Dating from the 16th century, this semi-buried chapel is classified as a historical monument and is the most unusual in the whole town. The other main site of Penvénan is the Sentinel Rock: located on the right of the beach of Port-Blanc, it is THE perfect postcard of Penvénan, as beautiful during the day as at sunset when the sky and the sea behind it are tinged with bright colors. Take the time to stroll along the sea side of Saint-Gildas Island to discover the protective walls built by Vauban, and on the land side, near the Bugélès pebble mill, a strong symbol of the past economic activity of Penvénan.

In Penvénan, there are many hiking trails that you can take. If the Sentier des Douaniers (GR34) which connects Bugélès to Port-Blanc via the coast is a must-see, you will also find many walking and cycling routes inland and along the coast, for beautiful sporting and contemplative walks with the family. In addition to walkers, lovers of water activities will find their happiness by staying in Penvénan! And this, thanks to this bay, a vast playground for lovers of sensations. You can go sailing, canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, or discover the joys of longe-côte or scuba diving, fishing on foot and sea fishing.
