70 kilometers from Saint-Brieuc, 10 kilometers from Dinan, 15 kilometers from Dinard, and 23 kilometers from Saint-Malo, Plouër-sur-Rance is ideally located in the heart of the northern coast of Brittany. Populated since prehistoric times, as evidenced by the Neolithic remains found on its territory, the village of Plouër-sur-Rance has developed largely during the Gallo-Roman era, under the influence of the nearby river port of Taden. This charming town, which has been involved in river activities for centuries, is one of the region's leading tourist destinations, thanks to its history, its infrastructures and its emblematic panoramas of Brittany. What seduces visitors is undoubtedly its heritage: here, the houses are old, squat, made of stone and granite, and immerse the visitor in no time in the warm atmosphere of the region. Near the Mont St Michel (less than an hour by car), St Malo, Dinan and the Rance valley are visits to be made. The port and the beach of Plouër are 5 minutes walk away. Cap Fréhel is worth a visit and if you are not afraid to drive, the island of Bréhat is an hour and a half away. In case of good weather plan to go there very early, it's extremely crowded on sunny days!
