In winter, the ski resort of Luz-Ardiden is only about ten kilometres from the centre of Luz-Saint-Sauveur. Are you a thrill seeker ? To fill up with adrenaline, you can take off from the Napoleon Bridge for a bungee jump perched 66 meters high : thrill guaranteed! You can also via ferrata, climbing, paragliding and zip line over the turquoise waters of the river Gave.
It is impossible to talk about Luz-Saint-Sauveur without mentioning its mythical passes. A land of cycling, every year the village attracts beginners and experienced climbers who wish to attack the giants of the Tour de France such as the famous Col du Tourmalet, as beloved as feared by cyclists. If the ascent of this pass by bike is far from relaxing, you will be rewarded on arrival with magnificent views of the Pic du Midi de Bigorre or the magnificent Cirque de Gavarnie, a breathtaking limestone circus listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Paragliding and trekking around Luz. Very beautiful region and nice shops. Resto Pic du Midi at the top ! (with reasonable prices for this site, which is to be visited absolutely).
