Embraced by the Hérault to the west and the Mediterranean to the south, Le Grau d'Agde enjoys a particularly privileged location by the sea. A seaside resort in the commune of Agde, this small traditional fishing village is an invitation to stroll by itself. Our advice: forget your car and prefer walking or cycling during your stay. For a good start, walk along the small winding road that undulates along the river; you will tirelessly arrive at the port of Grau d'Agde, which is particularly appreciated by visitors. A perfect blend of tradition and modernity, this small fishing port, with its Mediterranean flair, is the beating heart of the seaside resort, where fishermen and onlookers gather for the many celebrations that take place in the port all year round. To the sound of the clattering of the boats and the song of the seagulls, you will discover this peaceful place, which reflects the atmosphere of Grau du Roi.

Familiar above all, the Grau d'Agde resort reveals to its visitors small streets decorated with typical houses, old fishermen's huts and a particularly attractive charm. If in autumn and spring the Grau d'Agde is pleasant and quiet, in summer the resort transforms itself into a paradise for families on holiday on the Mediterranean coast. Less frequented than its neighbours and therefore completely "breathable", it has several absolutely splendid beaches that we recommend you to walk or cycle along at first, to capture all the beauty. To the west of the city, the Tamarissiere beach extends to the beaches of Vias along a thick forest where walkers and joggers like to meet. On the other side of the river, the Grau d'Agde Beach is the largest in the resort. Supervised in summer, it is lined with many shops and is accessible to people with reduced mobility. Bordered by a long pedestrian walkway, it is particularly popular with families who come to enjoy its peace and quiet and its facilities for children. Finally, between the latter and Cap d'Adge, is the beach of Saint-Vincent. Long and rather wild, it is a privileged place for strolls and idleness in all tranquility. Fans of water sports? Direction the beaches of Cap d'Agde located in the extension of the Saint-Vincent beach. Super welcome and delicious ice creams at Paquita's in front of the sea, very nice and affordable restaurant "Le Zoulou" along the Hérault, and restaurant snacking formula in front of the sea super nice (I forgot the name but there is only one!). Restaurant Graziella in Saint Vincent's Square to escape: cheap Gruyère pizzas are abominable!

An excellent restaurant (which makes the corner of Le Grau and the beach): "Les Ondines". Very good tapas and a menu at 16,90€ where the flavours do not give way to the presentation. Very nice service.
