In the heart of the Landes, Mimizan is one of the most pleasant seaside resorts on the Atlantic coast. Between ocean, lake, vast forest and rich cultural heritage, you can enjoy the many facets of the "Pearl of the Silver Coast".

With its 10 kilometres of fine sandy beaches, Mimizan offers you a huge playground. Thanks to its 4 supervised beaches, you will have the possibility to choose your atmosphere. If you have small children, go to the beach of Le Courant which has a very gentle slope. If you want to surf or fish, prefer the South or Remember beaches and if you enjoy the more wild sites, choose Lespecier. On each of these beaches, many activities are proposed and you can practice sailing, sand yachting, sea kayaking, paddle, beach-soccer, beach volleyball...

Then discover the village of Mimizan and its rich heritage. In particular, admire the bell tower-porch of the old church, built between the 11th and 13th centuries and listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. You will also appreciate the Notre-Dame de l'Assomption church, the Art Deco post office, the Woolsack castle built by the Duke of Westminster and the pyramids of rescued, built in 1009 and classified as historic monuments. Continue your walk along the many paths that criss-cross the resort. They will allow you to discover the forest of the Landes de Gascogne, the natural reserve of the pond of Mailloueyre and the lake of Aureilhan where you can sail aboard a Hawaiian canoe, a pedalo or a canoe.

Mimizan also offers an ideal setting for cycling. The 50 kilometres of cycle paths allow you to reach the beach from the village but also to reach the pretty Landais villages bordering it. Discover for example Bias for its traditional heritage and adventure park, or Pontenx-les-Forges for its beautiful bourgeois residences and its Bourricos district, organised around a splendid 13th century chapel. The most courageous can also follow the Vélodyssée to be seduced by the Arcachon basin and the Dune du Pilat. During your walks, make a few stops in restaurants or at local producers to taste the local flavours : foie gras, asparagus, farm chicken, Chalosse beef, kiwi...

Go to the Especier beach! Super wild beach lined with pine trees. To go to the top of the dune du Pyla, it would be a pity not to do it, it's very beautiful (besides we found a small quiet beach about 1 km without people, very clean).

If you want to taste good tapas with a choice of wines go to "L'Orchestra Bar": very friendly (Mimizan Plage). And for an afternoon beach: the Espécier beach (very wild, immense and partly naturist) awaits you.
