In the Vallée du Célé (Lot department), Brengues is one of those small authentic villages for which it is easy to fall in love. Historical, cultural and particularly well located, it will allow you to embark on a journey to discover the riches of the Causses du Quercy Regional Natural Park and the Occitanie region.

Sports enthusiasts and lovers of discovery: you are definitely in the right place when you choose Brengues as your holiday destination. Although far from the major tourist cities, Brengues is full of interests, particularly thanks to its many neighbouring historical sites. Less than 30 minutes away, Figeac, Cahors and the splendid medieval village of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie (18 kilometres) are worth a visit: the latter, elected "Village Préféré des Français", amazes its visitors with the splendour of its old medieval buildings. Its castles, houses lined with hollyhocks, its church and its walking trails promise beautiful family moments. Cabrerets and its Pech Merle Cave is also worth seeing: this cave decorated with very beautiful testimonies of cave art is one of the most important places of prehistory. Further north of the park, 45 minutes from Brengues, the gourmet and historic city of Rocamadour is worth a visit, as is the majestic Gouffre de Padirac. Inseparable from the park and the region, this first underground site in France promises an unforgettable boat trip at a depth of 103 metres. Fascinating, surprising, this magnificent site really deserves to be visited for a while to admire its sparkling waters and century-old galleries. Cardaillac and its Wonderful Gardens (19 kilometres), Capdenac (19 kilometres), Peyrusse-le-Roc, Carjac, Faycelles, Villefranche-de-Rouergue or Belcastel are added to this long list of visits.

But Brengues is also very interesting: during the summer in particular, the city turns into a real Eldorado for those who love staying in the countryside, attracted by the waters of the Célé. Swimming, kayaking, diving, caving, canoeing, paddling, canyoning... Many activities are offered on the waters that wet Brengues. The town even has a small beach where you can relax under the sun and enjoy the calm. As for hiking, we can only recommend the paths of the GR 651, the Roc de Lagane circuit, the Fontaines circuit as well as the "Château des Anglais" walk: the latter in particular will lead you to the cliffside to discover this former priory of Espagnac Saint-Eulalie, built during the 12th century. Don't forget your camera to capture some of the most beautiful panoramas of the Celebrate Valley! If you prefer mountain biking to hiking, Brengues has many itineraries for sports enthusiasts and frequently hosts races, such as the "Roc Quercynois" in May.
