Between sea and green countryside, seaside resorts, beautiful cities and small villages, Nord-Pas de Calais invites you to discover its multiple facets. You will quickly be won over by the welcoming nature of its inhabitants, its dynamism, its cultural heritage and its gastronomy.
With a coastline of more than 150 kilometers, Nord-Pas de Calais seduces all sea lovers. From Bray-Dunes to Berck, through Wimereux, Equihen-Plage or Cucq, there is no lack of picturesque seaside resorts. Discover also the superb resort of Le Touquet, famous for its beautiful villas and its 12 kilometers long beach. Within the numerous nautical bases which line the coast, you will be able to practise multiple nautical activities like sand yachting, windsurfing, kite-surfing, paddle... But also take advantage of your presence on the Opal Coast to go and admire the great site of France which extends between the Cap Blanc-Nez and the Cap Gris-Nez.
After having filled up with iodine and oxygen, take the time to visit the beautiful cities of Nord-Pas de Calais. In Lille, appreciate the richness of its architecture by discovering the Grand'Place, the Vieille Bourse, the Notre-Dame de la Treille cathedral and the Vauban citadel. In Boulogne-sur-Mer, let yourself be lulled by the murmurs of the open sea by walking along the quays of the port. Then visit the Notre-Dame basilica and its Romanesque crypt, the fortified city and Nausicaà, the city of the sea. But also visit Valenciennes (Place d'Armes, Watteau fountain, Fine Arts museum), Lens (town hall, Louvre-Lens), Arras (Grand'Place, belfry), Cambrai or Saint-Omer.
Finally, take advantage of the vast green spaces of the Nord-Pas de Calais region to enjoy many leisure activities. Hiking enthusiasts will be impressed by the number and diversity of the proposed itineraries. They can, for example, follow the "sentier des Jacinthes" in Saint-Jans-Cappel or discover the "marais audomarois". By bike, take the towpaths along the Lys or follow the beautiful paths of the Avesnois bocage. But also let yourself be tempted by new experiences such as hot air ballooning, microlighting, parachute jumping or even skiing on the slag heap. In the evening, treat yourself to gourmet moments to savor all the specialties of the region: potjevleesch, Flemish carbonade, welsh, maroilles pie, speculoos soufflé...
