In the south of Corsica, in the heart of the Mediterranean, Sardinia has all the assets of a true paradise on earth : between coastline with emerald waters, creeks of white sand, mountainous hinterland decorated with beautiful nuragic villages, natural sites and cultural, gastronomy, your holidays will be rocked by many moments of wonder.
Bathed in the warm waters of the Mediterranean, Sardinia invites you to enjoy the joys of the sea. To find your garden of Eden, you will have the choice. Discover the beautiful beaches of San Teodoro, Castelsardo and Valledoria. But many other seaside resorts offer you an idyllic setting like Orosei, Costa Paradiso or, a little further south, Costa Rei. And nothing prevents you from varying the pleasures ! Inciting lazing and swimming, the Sardinian coastline is also an ideal place for sailing or diving, especially around the islands of Maddalena and their national nature park.
After enjoying the sea, discover the beautiful cities of Sardinia. The regional capital, Cagliari, has a very pleasant old town, the great majority of whose monuments were built of white limestone, giving it a special luminosity. Behind the well-preserved ramparts you can admire the Romanesque-Pisan Cathedral of Santa Maria of the 13th century, the Basilica of Our Lady of Bonaria and the covered walk. But also enjoy the many parks of the city and the lagoon that hosts a multitude of flamingos. Then go on the north-west coast to visit the pretty towns of Alghero (fortifications, old town, palace) and Bosa (San Pietro church, Malaspina castle).
Omnipresent, the Sardinian nature does not reveal its beauties that by the seaside. Of course, the national park of the island of the Asinara, near Stintino, is part of the essential ones but also go to the discovery of the back -country and its mountainous massifs like the Gennargentu (hiking trails, ski resorts). Also visit the beautiful area of Sulcis Iglesiente for its wild landscapes and archaeological sites and visit the village of Barumini and its Su Nuraxi, megalithic building classified as a World Heritage Site by Unesco.
