With your family, we advise you to take the "Chemin des Marais" to discover all the singularity of the Rhétais panoramas. 18.5 kilometres long, this route will take you along the tracks of the places where the white gold of the marshes was born : salt.
Finally, on the sea side, few destinations can claim to rival the beauty of the beaches bordered by dunes, tamaris and pines of La Couarde-sur-Mer. With its 6 beaches spread over more than 5 kilometres of coastline, La Couarde is definitely a paradise for seaside activities and water sports. The "Plage de la Pergola" is one of the most emblematic of the resort : a surfing spot recognized throughout the world, it attracts every year many lovers of skiing, envious to tame the waves of the Atlantic. The "Plage des Prises" located at Bois Henri IV is ideal for water sports such as sailing, kitesurfing or paddle, very popular along the French coast. The "Plage Peu Ragot" is adored by families because of its children's club, sailing centre and calm waters. For relaxing breaks away from the crowd, head for the "Peu des Hommes Beach" : located in the Anneries district, it is lined with dunes as far as the eye can see and its beautiful width makes it a quiet space where you will have only the embarrassment of choice as to where to put your towel. The "Plage des Anneries" is also perfect for the afternoons of idleness. Finally the "Follies Beach" lined with dunes and bunkers will make the happiness of the amateurs of fishing on foot who will be able to go there early the morning to make pretty catches while taking advantage of the beauty of the rising sun.
