Before the 1990s, the site of Méribel Village had nothing of the high-end resort that it is now. Perched at 1400 meters above sea level in the heart of Savoy, it was a simple mountain hamlet on which were found mainly sheepfolds. But this is what makes the charm of this village resort. Its authenticity, one finds it in its typical architecture, its bread oven, its small trade and welcoming restaurants and especially its central place on which the holiday makers come to enjoy the sun, summer or winter. Méribel Village has everything from the traditional village. With bonuses, of course, privileged access to the largest ski area in the world.
The ski area of Méribel is not less than 150 kilometers. It is a real playground for winter sports enthusiasts, regardless of their abilities. Beginners and experienced skiers will find tracks at their level to train or improve themselves in skiing or other new ski disciplines. Méribel is also the perfect starting point to explore all the resorts of the Tarentaise ! Indeed, the resort is located in the center of the 3 Valleys, a ski area with nearly 600 kilometers of pistes distributed over eight stations. Navigate from one station to another with a unique package and you will know the valley as your pocket.
Méribel Village under the snow, it is also a great choice of winter activities. Skiers and non-skiers can set out to conquer the territories covered with their white mantle in snowshoeing. Chez Raquett'Evasion, three accompanying enthusiasts guide the hikers to the depths of the mountain since 1992. The gourmands will not miss the nocturnal with fondue : this unusual outing consists of a hike of almost an hour to an igloo, where you taste A good fondue with reblochon prepared with love by your companion. During the summer, the station retains its sporty side. To discover all the outdoor activities that it proposes, go to the Bureau of Guides of Méribel. These qualified professionals share their experience with all the adventurers who have come to conquer the mountain. Come and test their climbing wall of 14 meters or the natural paths of the Vanoise. Via ferrata enthusiasts will be delighted to find a multitude of sites of all levels all around Méribel Village, including one of the highest in France. Do not be afraid of the void ! And do not hesitate to discover canyoning in natural water parks. Strong sensations guaranteed !

Good table: starting from Mottaret (along the Tueda lake), go up to the "Refuge du Plan" (35' walk) in the moonlight, the table is excellent, you have to reserve, it is only open in the evening in winter, and in summer only at noon.
