Monti is a small world of its own in Rome and its center. It is as if invisible walls separated it from the rest of the city. The Rione Monti is the first district of Rome, which in the past included the Esquiline Hill, the Viminale, part of the Quirinale and the Celio up to the border of the Aurelian Walls. Today the Quirinale, Castro Pretorio and the Celio are no longer part of the neighborhood, considered one of the most picturesque with its narrow streets, romantic corners and the many places that have made it one of the destinations of Roman nightlife in recent years.
