Made up of a bunch of small hamlets scattered north of Nice, the town of Saint-André-de-la-Roche has everything to seduce vacationers curious to taste the charms of the Côte d'Azur without suffering the crowds. Just 15 minutes from Place Masséna and a dozen kilometers from the beaches of Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and Villefranche-sur-Mer, Saint-André-de-la-Roche enjoys an absolutely privileged environment for those who love nature and the great outdoors. Surrounded by the hills of Rimiez and Abadie which were once agricultural, Saint-André, although having changed over the years under the impetus of its large neighboring cities, retains its little side of "quiet town" where one takes pleasure in bantering under the sun. You will discover beautiful protected wooded areas where you can stroll quietly, as well as marked paths that will allow you to discover the contours of the village as well as magnificent viewpoints on the French Riviera and the Cap d'Antibes. During these short walks in Saint-André-de-la-Roche, you will discover the beauty of its heritage and will certainly fall in love with the Castle of the Thaon de Revel family! At the bottom of the Banquière valley, overlooking the village, the Château de Saint-André (it's also its name) was built perpendicular to the torrent of the Paillon, and reveals splendid facades and roofs, classified in the inventory of the Historic Monuments. Its grand salon and its arabesque dome, its mythological salon, its frescoes, its baroque decorations in trompe-l'oeil, but also its beautiful 18th century aspect make it a must-see. Visit also the church of Saint-André, the chapel of the castle, the three flour mills and the two oil mills located on the territory of the village... But don't forget to make a stopover at the cave of Saint-André! A natural arch of 50 meters, it has more of a bridge than a cave but is known to shelter a water source of 18 degrees...
