The village of Lagorce is located in the Ardèche department. In the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, Lagorce borders the famous village of Vallon-Pont-d'Arc, in the Regional Nature Reserve of the Ardèche Gorges. Perched on its rocky outcrop that towers over the neighbouring valleys from its 700-metre-high summit, the village of Lagorce marvels at its character and its warm authenticity. Here, the narrow streets are full of flowers, cobbled, topped with vaulted passages and lined with arches and houses with warm coloured facades. As you stroll through the village, you will discover some of its most beautiful buildings with carriage doors, its art galleries, its Magnanerie Museum, its church known for its magnificent Alsatian organ dating from 1848, its feudal belfry which dominates the Place de la Dîme, and also its church with its "bishop's hat" bell tower, which is rich in ancient history.

In order not to miss anything of the village and its beauty, Lagorce is equipped with many walking paths that you can take according to your desires. Our advice? Take the Botanical Path at the exit of the village for a green dive in the Ajude wood which will allow you to discover the richness of the fauna and flora of the region. If there is another itinerary not to be missed, it is certainly the one that leads to the Dent de Rez: up there, you can discover an absolutely unique view of the Mont Gerbier de Jonc, the foothills of the Cévennes, but also of the Mézenc and the wonderful Rhône Valley. For a break in the heart of nature, we recommend the Ibie Valley: the perfect setting for a bit of peace and quiet, it winds between Villeneuve-de-Berg and Vallon-Pont-d'Arc and offers splendid landscapes to discover along the Ibie river, a tributary of the Ardèche. As for the must-see sites, the Cascade de la Pompe is not to be missed: also known as the "Devil's Hole", it is nestled in a splendid cirque where the waters of the Salastre, the Soupe and the Ibie, swollen by rainwater, join together.

Full of life, Lagorce organises a whole host of events throughout the year: traditional festivals, Christmas celebrations, discovery of its AOC vineyards (Côtes du Vivarais), plastic arts or performing arts festival... Enough to give rhythm to your stay!
