For example, follow in the footsteps of William the Conqueror: in Falaise, to see the castle where he grew up; in Caen, to admire the fabulous buildings he had built: the ducal castle, the Ladies' Abbey, the Men's Abbey; in Bayeux, to appreciate the 11th century tapestry which recounts his conquest of England. Then take a leap of faith and discover the landing beaches (Omaha, Utah, Juno, Sword and Gold) and the many sites that recall the Battle of Normandy: the Caen Memorial, the Arromanches Landing Museum, the Pegasus Memorial...
