Just next to Pléneuf-Val-André, Saint-Alban is a concentrate of everything, really everything we love in Brittany. The omnipresent nature, breathtaking landscapes and dream beaches nearby make it a favourite destination for holidays in Brittany.

It is in the department of Côtes-d'Armor that the village of Saint-Alban is located. 22 kilometres from Saint-Brieuc and 11 kilometres from Lamballe, this town in the Penthièvre community of municipalities is the proud holder of the "Communes du Patrimoine Rural de Bretagne" label, which it obtained in 2014 for the singular richness of its architectural heritage, and the splendour of its landscapes. Located on the Côte de Penthièvre, although it does not have direct access to the beaches of the coast, Saint-Alban is crossed by the coastal river Flora, which meanders and leads you to the port of Dahouët, in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc. Our advice? Forget your car for a short visit to the town of Saint-Alban; prefer a quiet walk or bike ride to take the time to soak up its charm! You will discover the 12th century chapel of Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur, a former chapel of the Templars, classified as a historical monument since 1912. The 12th century church of Saint-Alban and its 14th century choir is known for having one of the oldest glass windows in Brittany, but also the chapel of Saint-Guillaume, the pierced cross from the 6th century, the feudal mound of Coron, not forgetting the crosses and calvaries, the wash houses, the age-old trees and the splendid traditional houses and farms of Brittany will plunge you into the heart of the village's history.

Green tourism resort, Saint-Alban is also a land of hiking. Also, to visit the village as well as the neighbouring communes, many itineraries have been designed to allow you not to miss a crumb of the treasures that Saint-Alban has to offer. Through the valley of the Flora dotted with daffodils, via the circuit "Stones and poetry" (1 kilometer) or the circuit "Souls and landscapes" (13 kilometers), but also in the direction of the Bois de Coron, the coast and the GR34 which criss-crosses it, lovers of walking will not know where to look!

If there is a must for any holidaymaker visiting Saint-Alban, it is to go to the very popular beaches of the nearby seaside resort of Pléneuf-Val-André. Spread over more than 2.5 kilometres, the Val-André beach is a small paradise of fine sand. If its long dike below Belle Époque villas is the perfect place to stroll in the sunset, the beach is ideal for swimming. The beach of the Valleys overhung by a magnificent 18-hole golf course with sea view, the beach of Ville Berneuf adored by the amateurs of paragliding, kitesurfing, sailing and other nautical activities, without forgetting the beach of Nantois are so many places which will delight the young and the old during this stay in the Côtes-d'Armor!
