Only ten kilometres from the beaches of Finistère, in the heart of the black mountains of the Porzay plain, Cast, or "Kast" in Breton, is a small village with a very traditional feel. With its beautiful buildings and unspoilt nature, Cast and its Celtic atmosphere invite you to discover via numerous hiking trails. From the heights of Menez Quelc'h (the highest point in the municipality), via the old Roman road, the magnificent "Route des Crêtes" and the routes criss-crossing the fresh alleys of the Bois de Saint-Gildas, you will discover everything that makes this picturesque village so beautiful. In terms of architectural heritage, the municipality has a few buildings to see, such as the Saint-Gildas chapel, the fountain of the same name, the Quillidoaré chapel and the Saint-Hubert hunting calvary.

In addition to its calm and resourcing aspect, Cast is also ideally located to allow you to discover the splendours of the Breton coast. Indeed, the sea is only about ten kilometres from the village, and it will be easy for you to reach the most beautiful beaches on the coast during hiking or cycling outings, thanks to marked trails adapted to all levels. Want to dive into the water? Head for the beaches of Plomodiern, located in the bay of Douarnenez, between the tip of the Raz and the magnificent Crozon peninsula. Are you a surf enthusiast? Banco! Porz Ar Vag beach is known to be one of the best surf spots in the bay, perfect for taking on the waves of the Iroise Sea. Those who are passionate about thrills can enjoy the various activities offered in the beach nautical club, from kayaking to bodyboarding, canoeing, water skiing, windsurfing, paddle, jet-skiing, kitesurfing, longe-côte... All these activities will seduce a wide public, in addition to relaxation, swimming and sand castle competitions!

Finally, as we are passing through Cast, we can only recommend that you take a walk around the Crozon peninsula. Absolutely splendid, it shelters magnificent beaches, especially in Morgat: turquoise water, white sand, hiking trails in the shade of vegetation... The atmosphere is heavenly!

Not to be missed: the "Ty-Glaz" crêperie in Châteaulin (at the corner of the D7 towards Cast and the D887), very good reception and tasty cuisine.
