Locmaria-Plouzané, also called "Loc-Maria-Plouzané", is one of the most exotic destinations in southern Finistère. Blending with a certain brio dynamism and regional traditions, this small town, located opposite the Crozon peninsula, is the perfect place for a family holiday. To start your stay, nothing better than a small visit of its village. Charming, made of beautiful neo-Breton-style houses easily identifiable by the stones that decorate the contours of the doors and windows of the houses, this flowery village is built around its Notre-Dame church. After touring the town centre and finding out where to do your shopping, head for the green heart of Locmaria-Plouzané: its countryside. The Argoat, literally the "Land of the Woods", is a real paradise for lovers of green holidays. With its numerous calvaries, crosses, wash houses, bread ovens and opulent manor houses, it reveals a rich historical heritage, emblematic of Brittany. The Chapel of Saint-Sébastien, the Manor of Kerscao (16th century), those of Goulven and Troharé (16th century), as well as the Castles of Kervasdoué and Moguerou (18th and 19th centuries) will complete your discovery of the heritage of Locmaria-Plouzané.
On foot, on horseback or by bike, there are many hiking trails that you will discover, including the famous GR34. A coastal route, it runs along the whole of Brittany and will allow you to discover here all the uniqueness of the coastal fringe, also called "l'Arvor", which offers to contemplate resolutely incredible landscapes. In front of your eyes? The Iroise Sea and its thousand shades of blue, stretching from the bay of Camaret to the Crozon peninsula, passing by the Pointe du Raz and the Ile de Sein in the distance, the fort of Bertheaume and its cove, the Tas de Pois... In short, everything (or almost everything!) that makes Locmaria-Plouzané a breathtaking destination. To see? The Fort of Toulbroc'h and its vestiges of blockhouses from the Second World War, but also Déolen for its wild cliffs, and the Fort of Bertheaume to the west. But if it is indeed a real star in the area, it is the Lighthouse of Petit Minou. Beyond the fact that it has a particularly cute name, this emblematic lighthouse of the department indicates to boats the road that will lead them to the entrance of the roadstead of Brest. Perched 34 metres above sea level, the memorable Phare du Petit Minou unveils at its feet a sandy beach at low tide, adored by surfers, fishermen and bodyboarders. For swimming, you can count on the superb beaches of Locmaria-Plouzané. There are three of them, and they are popular for both soaking in the water and lazing around in the sun, as well as for practicing nautical activities such as kitesurfing, sailing, paddling or surfing, especially in fickle weather. Fine sand, turquoise water and abundant vegetation will complete the postcard of your holidays.

Crêperie "Les Korrigans" (Le Conquet town centre 10 km away): good table (very reasonable prices) with a room with a country look and a fireplace open on a nice wood fire. Good reception. GR34: coastal path with beautiful views, ideal for good hikers. Site of the Phare du petit Minou, at the entrance of the harbour of Brest.
