Locquirec, or "Lokireg" in Breton, is the first town in the department of Finistère, on the border with the Côtes-d'Armor and the Pink Granite Coast. In the heart of the blue setting of the Bay of Morlaix, this natural destination by essence combines all the assets to seduce holidaymakers in search of fresh air and grandiose landscapes.

Ah, Locquirec... You will remember for a long time the iodine perfume that perfumes this little seaside resort in Finistère. Bordered by glaz water (the name the Bretons give to their water mixing blue, green and grey), Locquirec is definitely the little paradise for sea lovers. Along the English Channel, this elegant destination is a real invitation to relax, far away from the big, crowded seaside resorts. Here, we walk hand in hand along the flowered alleyways of hydrangeas, mimosas and agapanthus in bright colours, which contrast marvellously with the white of the houses that adorn the streets of Locquirec.

Particularly sunny, Locquirec is above all known for its beaches. From the lover of lazy breaks under the sun to the aficionado of nautical activities, everyone here finds his or her happiness. Not very popular even in summer, the beaches of the seaside resort are numerous, a dozen in total, most of them offering incredible panoramas of the nearby Pink Granite Coast. Everyone can find their own spot, their own little corner, to enjoy the legendary panorama and calm of this beautiful city with the air of perpetual holidays. The quiet one? The one of Poul Rodou: located at the very west of Locquirec, on the border with Guimaëc, it will be perfect for bubbling under the sun as well as for afternoons playing on the sand with the family. The Moulin de la Rive beach will delight surfers thanks to its gliding spot, just like the famous Sables Blancs beach. Emblematic of the town of Locquirec, this family beach is easily accessible from the town centre thanks to a shuttle bus. Long and particularly well preserved, this wide, clear sand beach is a must to discover during your holidays. The very wild (and rocky) Palud beach will delight hikers, as will the quiet Bilou cove and Garreg Kouezet beach. The beach of Traon Velin will be perfect for your morning strolls to watch the sun rise over the port, when the beach at the bottom of the bay will fill the eyes of lovers of water sports such as kitesurfing, fishing on foot (here, we love looking for hulls!), sailing or sand yachting, but also horse riding on the seaside, fishing and swimming.

On the hiking side, Locquirec, like Brittany, offers a vast network of marked trails for those who love to walk for sport or contemplation. The GR34 criss-crosses the entire coastline of the commune to allow you to discover dazzling, wild and intoxicating panoramas, between dunes and rocky points. To make sure you don't miss a beat, walk along the shores of Anse de Porz Morvan at Pointe de Locquirec, along Chemin de l'Île Verte, Pointe du Corbeau, and rue de la Corniche, which leads to an orientation table that offers incomparable views of the entire bay.

Very lively, the small port of Locquirec offers warmth and friendliness to those who visit it. Surrounded by emerald water, it brilliantly blends chic and authenticity. To the sound of the clattering of moored sailboats and the surf of the waves, take the time to sit on the terrace to enjoy the landscape and savour delicious Breton cakes accompanied by a bowl of cider (raw, we insist on it!).
