Ah, Brittany: this is definitely THE ideal destination for your holidays. Situated in the bay of Douarnenez, between the Pointe du Raz and the Crozon peninsula, the small town of Plomodiern has everything to please. Combining with brio authenticity and dynamism, it is the i-dé-al place to put down your suitcases.
Gateway to the marvellous Crozon peninsula, Plomodiern, in Finistère, never ceases to attract attention. Bordered on one side by the Ménez-Hom (300m), one of the peaks of the Black Mountains chain, and on the other by the capricious waters of the Atlantic Ocean, Plomodiern reveals to its visitors a strong architectural heritage, mostly religious in the image of Brittany. But what to see during your stay? To begin, we advise you to go to the Saint-Mahouarn church, whose various constructions date back to the 16th and 19th centuries. Push open its wide door to discover its impressive 6-bay nave, its transept, its choir, its reliquary of Saint-Corentin, its niches and its numerous statues of apostles. The Sainte-Marie du Ménez-Hom chapel in the middle of the valleys of the eponymous mountain, the Saint-Sébastien chapel, the Saint-Corentin chapel or the Saint-Suliau chapel are also to be seen during your stay. During your walks, you will discover beautiful houses with typical Breton architecture, as well as multiple crosses, calvaries and fountains that adorn the streets of Plomodiern like jewels.
After discovering the town, head for Le Menez-Hom: sacred mountain, place of celebration of the solar cult, it offers a breathtaking panorama of the nearby Crozon peninsula as well as the bay of Douarnenez and the Aulne valley. In addition to being a recognized hiking site, the summit of Menez-Hom welcomes every year from August 13 to 15 the "Festival du Menez-Hom", which has been perpetuating Breton folklore traditions, whether musical, cultural or clothing, for decades now.
Plomodiern's charming asset? Its wonderful coastline. Bordered by the bay of Douarnenez, reputed to be one of the most beautiful bays in France, Plomodiern is known for its long beaches loved by families and sportsmen alike. The beach of Lestrevet is very popular for the practice of nautical activities. Many holidaymakers come here for sand yachting, surfing, kitesurfing and kite flying. It is on this beach that every year the "Breizhwind" takes place, the largest Breton wind and gliding festival, which brings together lovers of paragliding, surfing, kitesurfing, kayaking and water walking. The beach of Kervijen is also perfect for water activities, when families, lovers of tranquillity and lovers of unspoilt beaches will love the beach of Porz ar Vag.
Finally, it is impossible to stay in Plomodiern without taking a trip to Cap Sizun, the Pointe du Raz, Morgat, Crozon and the Virgin Island, where hiking trails, turquoise water and postcard panoramas can only comfort you in the idea that, once and for all, Brittany is winning you over!

The region is rich in places to visit, but we were lucky enough to be guided by Bretons through the Huel goat forest. Huel goat forest, not to be missed ....the honey factory will welcome you with a multitude of varieties of honey at the exit.

We witnessed Locronan's forgiveness. This is an event not to be missed (which only takes place every 6 years). The height of the Ménez Hom is breathtaking. The place is to be discovered absolutely.
