In the heart of the Haut Pays Bigouden, in southern Finistère, Plozévet has all the cards in hand to make you spend an incredible holiday in Brittany. A land of tradition, escape and festivities, this dynamic seaside resort has something for the whole family.

Between Guilvinec and the Pointe du Raz, some thirty kilometres west of Quimper, Plozévet has all the assets of a coastal town in Brittany. Housed in a green setting on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, Plozévet boasts a remarkable heritage that we advise you to discover. To do so, put on your trainers or get on your bike: let's go for a great ride! To start, nothing better than a small visit of its town. Made of beautiful houses with typical Breton grey stone, it has a large number of interesting monuments to see, such as its parish church, classified as a Historic Monument. With its magnificent Gothic bell tower and numerous sculptures, this 15th century building is one of the most beautiful in the whole village. Pass by the Saint-Théleau fountain surrounded by legends (it is said that its water has been healing fevers for centuries), the Trinité chapel to discover its very elegant 16th century furniture, before stopping off at the Saint-Renan chapel. Mysterious, it has a sarcophagus in which it is said that Ronan himself (one of the most famous Breton saints of the ancient Armorica) is said to be buried. During your excursions, you will cross the path of 7 calvaries, many seaweed ovens and a menhir, called the "Menhir of Human Rights", in homage to the Breton men who perished in a battle at sea against the English army.

But what attracts visitors passing through Plozévet is above all the sea. A land of hiking, contrasts and escape, the town has a vast network of signposted footpaths for pedestrians and cyclists, including the GR34 (footpath) which runs along the whole of Brittany and will offer you wonderful seaside walks, discovering the rocky points, creeks and magnificent beaches that Plozévet has to offer. Fans of fishing on foot? Quickly put on your best boots and arm yourself with a big bucket! The very fishy waters of the seaside resort leave on the sand at low tide a plethora of small fish and other crustaceans that children will love to discover. In addition to fishing on foot, the beaches of Plozévet as well as those of Kerrest and Gored are well known to surfing enthusiasts who can practice their favorite sport at leisure, thanks to the beautiful waves of the Atlantic. Finally, swimming, lazing around, sailing, SUP, kitesurfing, sunbathing and other sand castle contests (... and we let the children win, eh!) will punctuate your holidays in Plozevetian land.

Restaurant "Le Menhir" in Plozévet. Sea view, impeccable quality of the dishes: taste, quantity on the plate and service at the table. Price slightly above average, but justified, with no regrets when leaving the establishment. Reservation required.
